Sadly, years later, I have yet to read Royal Assassin or Assassin's Quest. I did find the paperbacks of the Liveship trilogy at a yard sale and got them, so it looks like I should get started on the 2nd book.

We had a couple 4is earthquakes here off the coast. I could hear the dishes rattling during one of them. Don't usually get them around here.

It decided to rain this afternoon. I got caught out without an umbrella, for it was sunny when I left the house this morning.

Wow... I may be blind without my glasses but I had to go to page 15 to find even a mention of Dr Who! (It's very likely I missed the thread) I really liked The Day Of The Doctor last weekend. I had to get up and have the TV on at 5:50AM for the 1st showing. Later that day I went with a couple Who-ge...

I was looking for a Dr Who thread and came across this. Mediaeval Baebes isn't completely Celtic but they do some. I found a CD at the market in West End called The Huntress which I enjoy listening to. Now... back to search a Dr Who thread....

Sheesh. Is that sort of weather unusual? Not unusual for this time of year, but they are rather tightly wound so if you're in the area where they hit, it's like hell unleashed. But you could be 5 km away and get hardly any rain. Today it's raining and a cool 20°C. Yesterday this time it was sunny a...

Had a major spring storm yesterday here. A cell came through pretty much over my house and I got caught out without an umbrella trying to get from the bus stop to home, which is about a 500 meter walk. I was drenched and deaf from the thunder by the time I got home. Had to clean up some water in a c...

Went to the Two Towers orchestra movie at Riverstage last night. Was nice, but it didn't have the intensity tat Fellowship did at QPAC. I think it needs the acoustics of the hall instead of the outdoor venue.

Enjoying the cool mornings for my run, but the days get warm into the 30's. Haven't been walking at lunch until i get settled in to the new job and see what there is around to walk to. Been taking a walk/run after work when I get home to make up for it. There is something about spring that really in...

Sorry you're having trouble listening to Faun. They are pretty awesome. Lately I've been listening to the four sisters of Stonefield. They are really good at the retro vibe! Fleetwood Mac picked them up to open a few of their shows later this year, but I'll see them on the at the Alhambra Lounge in ...

We're cranking up the heat a bit early this year here in Queensland. Supposed to be 40° by Thursday!

Is anybody into going to medieval festivals? I went to the Abbey Medieval Festival today and had lots of FUN! I went to this once before like ten years ago and didn't think too much about it being a snarky teen who likely wanted to do something else. But this time, getting dressed up and going with ...

Yes I have Alatar! :) Decider is on my TV right now!

Weather was clear, sunny, and even sort of warm this arvo. I went to the Abbey Medieval Festival with some friends. We had fun getting all dressed up for it.

This guy has guts. Already the U.S. Congress are calling for his imprisonment and death as a traitor. But I think he is a very honest individual. Freedom and privacy freely traded for a feeling of psuedo-security. This just reinforces what I've always thought... that if you partake in email and use ...

The stuff with shooting prostitutes is exactly what gave GTA its great infamy. Some people think it's funny in a "dark comedy" kinda way, I guess. I'm not nihilistic enough to find it amusing. Apparently shooting escorts is a bit more common in Texas ? I mean WTF???? And I have watched th...
