Check out Cillian Murphy in Intermission, a cynical little film, but he's quite adorable in it.

Tinsel, I lost two on-line friends this year, both far too young, and I completely understand the odd disconnect you feel. Mourning someone you have never met, but have developed a close friendship with, is something many people don't understand. Keep Mike in your heart, and remember him, as I do my...

A bit later, #6 in The Prisoner (swoon). And - Sunsilver, I remember seeing Eric Braeden on a Gunsmoke ep and man! h...

Such awful news today. Read in another thread that Satch has checked in with someone, so hope that's ok. I suspect that people across time have lamented on the evil times that they live in, but I'll do it anyway. Sending positive thoughts across the Pond. My daughter is on a class trip that's suppos...

Saw this news and rushed over here to see if everyone has checked in ok.

My thoughts and prayers to all involved, and my deep sympathy to the Brits for this awful, awful attack.

And hugs to those who want them.

Sunsilver-they're wallstone rather than flagstones, but not granite. ;) Anth-what are the little white things on the tiles? Spacers? You do good work. :D Eru- I shoot a .22 pistol and a 40 caliber, which makes me feel like Dirty Harry. BOOM! I think that was from 9 yards. My fourth time shooting, so...

Here's what you need for flea prevention:
http://www.petcarerx.com/product.asp?up ... 2&upsd=207 Still have the scars from bathing a skunked kitty years ago. She DID climb up and shred the shower curtain, trying to escape.

NL- he's really called Happy Bunny, but he says mean things, so I call him that. :D Your shirt is probly the most innocuous of the bunch. See here: http://www.kingstrends.com/happy-bunny.html Anth- if it's any consolation, anything in pots here that gets full sun needs daily watering. Pots just dry ...

Congrats to the Griffy one! Anthy - I love your tiles, but i love granite more. I think it's a bit cheaper here in New England, cause we make it here. :D ( a little geology humor). Since we built this house on the cheap, I have neither. :( I am running a campaign to pull up the carpets and have hard...

Wow, it's been 25 years since I took riding lessons and I can STILL hear my teacher Dean saying "Joan, check your lead". Arrrghh!! He showed saddlebreds and I got to ride one of his old mares. She looked like the tiredest old nag (she was QUITE elderly and he didn't use her in classes much...

*tackles Griffy* :D *tenderly pats Anthy on the head* Yikes, poor baby-you are a hero for getting back on the horse and getting her straight. Don't feel like what happened is your fault. Accidents happen with horsies just like with people. One of my riding instructors, years ago, fell with a horse a...

Hi, kids. Summer has finally arrived on the tundra, and I've been busy, busy, busy. Too little to do and too much time-no wait, reverse that! :D

I've just planted 16 tomato plants, and after a bit of a water break and cool down, I'm off to dig some holes for perennials. :D :D :D :D

Yay, summer!!!

Raining again. Holby- I hope that your holiday weekend wasn't a complete washout. We had half decent days Saturday and Sunday. Yesterday sucked, and the black flies were out in abundance, so I stayed in. It didn't actually rain til the afternoon, but it was cloudy and cold. And again this morning. u...

I garden like this: decide this hosta should be moved. Walk all around the front, back and side yards looking for the best spot. Decide on a spot, realize that means making room for it, go to the shed to get a shovel. On the way, pick up a bucket. Get the shovel, stop to weed a bed a bit. 15 min. l...
