Sunday morning - Velvet Underground & Nico Found out yesterday, Sunday, and put on my Andy Worhol vinyl by Velvet Underground. Sad day. Feeling pretty bummed at the death of Lou Reed. I've loved his music for a long time and he was a game changer in early rock n roll. To me one of the most influ...

Piece by piece and frame by frame - Deer Tick

One of my fave bands, modern country Rock. Great American band. Saw their show here in toronto the other night, they played for almost two hours, it was fantastic! I bought two vinyls and left quite happy. :)

Yeah, I just like when new bands make music that sounds more like its from the 60s without sounding too retro so to speak. Terrible explanation... Been loving The National for a while now. Currently listening to: Don't swallow the cap - The National Don't know how to accurately describe them, just a...

Warlock Psychologist by Swan Lake Swan Lake is probably one of the more beautifully chaotic indie bands from the last ten years. I would def recommend checking out the album Enemy Mine to anyone. :) Yovargas in particular (where are you?) as I think you probably like Swan lake's parent bands, Spence...

Yesterday was one of those days that'll be in my history books. I called a friend at midnight Wednesday to inform him he wasn't working the next day cause he had to drive with me to Montreal to go see arcade fire. We left in the morning and got a spot on the hill for Arcade Fire's free show they wer...

Listening to various songs by Evander Banhart. Brilliant musician. Yova, I know you're lurkin here somewhere. Have you heard the Sufjan Steens album "Avanlanche"? It's extras and remixes of the Illinoise album. I picked it up the other day at a used record store I frequent and am really en...

I've thought about getting an ultraviolet tattoo. They're really cool (just google image 'UV tattoo' if you haven't seen one before). However I've heard that the ink can be bad for you so I'm not really thinking of getting one til I do more research. That and I'd rather spend my money on a couple ot...

I watched the one the other day where Tilk agrees to play this virtual reality combat game where he goes into the game a la Matrix to fight these foes that will learn from him. It was a lighthearted and fun episode I think. I have no idea what season it is from. It's been a long time since I watched...

Haha cool. I have to admit that I listened to it a couple times when it came out but wasn't really impressed. Probably cause I was (and still am) so in love with their first album. But I've since started listening to it again and can't listen to anything else. It's been in my cat stereo for like two...

Unfortunately I missed going put for beers with him after cause a friend didn't tell me they were going....

I think his looks and talent fit the part. Javier isn't a big name actor in the style of Tom cruise rather he's made a name for himself for his talent and film choice. It is the accent though. It would be interesting to see.

*E* you fucking made me laugh so hard with the ent comment. My grandpa once thought that it was a veggie dip. That led to quite the laugh-fest. That's defiantly the shampoo though. I always thought those were Rosemary needle-leaves not pine-needles. Which one of us is right? I actually came ...

I use solid shampoos and conditioners from lush. haha Yes, lush is the bomb. Especially for straight guys like me cause I walk in there with my v-neck and skinny jeans I usually wear and the cute female staff think I'm gay and proceed to sample all the products on me. It's rather funny. :) Bu...

It's very indie. :p But i found the line "even though I haven't seen you for years, yours is a funeral I'd fly to from anywhere" quite a darkly romantic lyric. Btw, Yov, I seem to remember you being an arcade fire fan (unless I'm mixing you up with someone else), so I was wondering what yo...
