Actually it began on the 16th and will end on the 25th.

I don't know what the quorum is but I'm pretty sure we've passed it. Last time the quorum was 33.

The bit with Boromir picking up the Ring was brilliant. Deftly showed the growing influence of the Ring over him (or anyone) and also showed Aragorn's fierce devotion to Frodo/accomplishing his task by him being ready to defend Frodo/fight for the Ring against Boromir if need be by showing his hand...

I'm pretty sure the voting should be started by now (though I am notoriously time zone impaired). So would a Ranger please add a poll to this thread? The options should be:

I agree to these changes to Article 5

I do not agree to these changes to Article 5

Thanks!

This forum is [solely intended][intended solely] for earnest attempts to resolve bona fide disputes, and threads that are not started for that purpose will be moved. Since voting starts tomorrow I think the word order in the ballot should be finalized. I'm fine with "intended solely" whic...

Viggo didn't get nominated for A History of Violence. :x

But speaking of violence, I see Russell Crowe did get nominated.

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b396/fissshy/aragorn-leaving.jpg Chapter 30: The Departure of the Fellowship - 1 minute, 17 seconds The Fellowship leaves Rivendell on their quest. I can't say I care much for this scene. It's so formal and stagey, with the two groups lined up facing each other. It...

I wasn't disturbed when I learned Santa wasn't real - I don't even recall when it happened specifically. I just naturally segued into tracking down where my parents hid my presents! When I did believe, I clearly remember my dad reporting sleigh bells getting closer to our house on Christmas Eve, wit...

I had ants in my apartment this summer. Spraying didn't work - they just kept coming back, and it was an awful mess and smell. Then I tried these Raid Ant Baits and they got rid of the ants completely. Link: http://www.killsbugsdead.com/fop_ab.asp The ants go into the trap and then - in my case - th...

Yes, Bilbo's love for Frodo really comes across in this scene - and Frodo's for Bilbo as well. It's a nice complement to their earlier scene in Rivendell. In that scene, Bilbo comforts Frodo when Frodo confesses that he's afraid he's not cut out for adventures. In this scene, now that Frodo has acce...

That's a good point, Lhaewin. We may be seeing Bilbo from Frodo's perspective. I think it might be a little of both.

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b396/fissshy/sting.jpg Chapter 29: Bilbo's Gifts - 1 minute, 42 seconds Bilbo gives Frodo his mithril coat and Sting. I love the look of Sting, including the added inscription. The mithril coat also has an intriguing design. On the first viewing, people in the thea...
