As a fellow screenwriter, I must ask how many words are in your screenplay? As a geek/writer I did what any decent geek would do when confronted with a problem. I wrote a computer program to generate random plotlines to help trigger ideas. It has worked wonderfully for shattering writer's block. Too...

Is Ax really back? I have been busy housecleaning for the last month or so. It is amazing how much house one develops when one isn't looking. My son constantly coming behind me and playing with all the stuff I have rearranged and digging stuff out that I have thrown away is causing this to be a cons...

Someone should probably start looking for replacements for Lali and me (unless someone already is, in which case ignore the rest of this). This feel silly to anyone else? b77 doesn't need more than 1 or 2 rangers anymore, does it? And considering the number of active posters we have, I say that if ...

I don't enjoy flying, no.

Not to mention it's not far to boat and the plane tickets are murder.

Lidless, Estel... After hearing your situations and knowing both of your personalities as I do I can honestly say you have already made your decision.

Now, I have to wonder how difficult it will be to get a boat so I can sail to Anguilla. (You just HAD to choose somewhere I can't drive, didn't you?)

So, you and Lidless did the opposite of what moonfaeriegalena and I did. We had our ceremony done before the legal one, and you had your legal one before the ceremony. I am sure that Lidless will get another ridiculously fabulous job. He is not the sort of person who can ever stay down for long. (pl...

Growing up my parents were idiots. I recognized this quickly, thankfully, and decided to look to fictional heroes to be my heroes. My first hero was Robinson Crusoe. I had gotten ahold of a copy of the book and read it and marvelled in how versatile and adaptable he was. I have never read the book a...

No, this is the MySpace thread. :P

I put added the few I recognized into my MySpace. My friend helped me with my graphics since I don't actually go to MySpace... at all, really. it is more of a networking thing for me.

Sorry about the delay but I posted in the other thread. My credit card was also refused by the hostname provider. This is odd, because I had far more than enough cash on it, they must not like my bank or something. Right now the hostname is up for grabs.

I remember writing bots in my youth. Never for malicious intent (they made great IRC guardians/guns) but they are very complicated. B77 should be fairly safe given that each account has to be manually approved. If a Ranger sees a user name that tries to join that is suspicious I recommend they email...

Really go reread some of the most recent threads on merging forums, why do we stay, or why we push people away and step back and try to see it from a broader perspective. Dude, I was never on TORC and I started the "Why do we stay" thread. There are people who still have a bit of bitterne...

*wonders if the answer Fixer's looking for is "The Charter"* ;) And Meneltarma wins the prize. :P It pleases me when the vast majority said that the reason they remain as members of Board 77 is because of the diversity of the people on Board 77. The board-shattering arguments of the past ...

I am about to leave work and still no one has even come close to the reason I am thinking of.

Oh well, perhaps bringing one of the farflung back to comment would provide me the answer I am pondering.

No, Anthy, it is not. :P I still wait to see it.

Would someone be so kind as to ask those who no longer post here with any regularity to comment on why they originally came to call Board77 'home'? I want to see if any of THEM say what I am looking for.

I appreciate all those who have already shared why they still come here. I will leave my 'point' until Friday, to give everyone who wishes to state their own purposes for coming here an opportunity to do so. In order for everyone to best understand my point, though, I need as many different people t...

I believe this to be an appropriate question under the circumstances. Why do you still come here? To Board77? What draws you here? I ask because of several reasons. One is to get you to really think about why you are here. I could list a host of reasons why others have said they are here but I do no...

It is many factors that are causing this lull, from what I can tell. The board isn't dead, it is just quiet. In my years of browsing message boards and IRC channels, there is always a quieting of membership participation between November and March. People are often just too busy to be getting online...
