Coincidentally, this popped up in my Tech feed today about the #NotNolan campaign (which I confess I was previously unaware of). I think it's a pretty balanced article and I'd be curious to see what others, and particularly Griffy, think of this one. https://kotaku.com/sex-pong-and-pioneers-what-at...

Okay, I see what Alatar is saying but in my opinion it misses the mark, because: The issue isn’t assuming all men are monsters and all women are angels. That would be a ridiculous thing to assume. I think we can all agree on that. The issue is believing women when they speak up about abuse, harassme...

I've all but stopped following the news in South Africa, because no emotional callous can protect against what happens in South Africa daily. As an example, here is a picking from a South African website. There's regular stories of similar violence. http://www.news24.com/News24/South_Africa/News/0,,...

Peanut butter M&M's are so gross  All American "chocolate" is inferior when you didn't grow up eating it :P Smarties ( the South African kind ) are delicious. You have to eat them right, though - don't just bite down. Sort them into different coloured piles and alternate eating a...

Q - what kind of regulations are imposed on the "organic" label? I'll buy, I'll pay. I am looking at food labels now where I used not to, to check for locally grown and/or organic. But I want to know exactly what that "organic" means.

Until consumers stop stuffing themselves and their garage to obesity with cheap imported foods and trinkets and start buying locally, this kind of thing will not reverse. Lots more consumers will have to be run out of jobs first because they'll see how expensive those few cents cheaper really was. I...

Burst out laughing when I read about the not-round-anymore tires :D Hey - your old car is about the same age as ours, and ours have been out and about in the Bakersfield summer for many a year. I betcha yours run smoother than ours :blackeye: It is great fun, though, to drive an older car with chara...

Oy yikes! Ouch!

When I ran into my kitchen window my head sort of looked like that. Only my cut was a bit longer, and I had I forget how many stitches, but quite a few :D

Griffy, you're in California, so it shouldn't be too hard for you to find some decent sushi around, I hope! :D I feel the same way, though, here on the East Coast most of my friends don't like it so I have no one to find good sushi places with. It sucks that we have to live on opposite sides of the...

Sushi's great. Got much, much better sushi in South Africa than I've had so far in America, though!

Still lots of places in town to try, though ... only problem is the Faramonster doesn't really care for the stuff, and going out on your own for sushi is no fun ;)

I saw this on the local newspaper's website and also thought it was very sad. While I certainly rolled my eyes at the inheritance thing, fact is she recently went through heartbreak, she had a baby, and now she is dead. A sad life on the whole, at least from the public eye. TrimSpa is probably nippi...

Not having any kids, I cannot really comment! However, I have been around small kids that I thought could have benefitted from a little discipline in their lives! :Wooper: Which may or may not have equated to spanking ;) As for myself - I got the occasional spanking as a kid. My parents always sent ...
