Tombstone is great! Especially Val Kilmer's Doc Holliday. I adore that character. 3:10 to Yuma: well, good, and Russell Crowe makes a very sympathetic bandit. It's not a masterwork, but a strong western. Tries to copy The Great Silence's end, fails. I also like some modern westerns, like The Three B...

The Liam Neeson movie... oh, yes. The Force is strong with Valjean! And Cosette is hysterical and Marius is... well... actually Marjolras. But Geoffrey Rush steals the show. That movie made me a Javert-fan. Movies I've seen: 1957 Gabin - awwwww. Great. Gabin is Valjean Incarnate. And Bourvil!Thénar...

Well, it could have gone to the Music section, too, but the book is first. You can also discuss the msucial and the movies here.

I'm re-reading the Brick right now. Do so pretty often. I love its world and the characters.

I hate John Wayne. As much as I love the genre itself. His movies are so old-fashioned. Being heroic, killing Indians and getting the blonde heroine. I'm with the Indians. :horse: Not to mention he's fat like a tenor. I like when a western is dirty, bloody and disillusioned. Wild Bunch is a perfect ...

I hope I'm not the only one who likes them. :)

I especially like Italian westerns and Peckinpah's movies. How about you?

Check them on youtube. :D Nina Stemme is a wonder... she's up as Senta and Isolde. She's slim but has a huge voice. Herlitzius sang in Budapest this summer (we had a Ring in four days!) and she was great. Oh, my fave Ring character is Hagen. I have a thing for tragic villains. And especially for tre...

McCarthy is wonderful, too. I have a lot of fave Javerts. Him, PQ, Wim van den Driessche, Christian Alexander Müller, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Patrick Rocca. But I strongly dislike Terry Mann. Oh, and my fave Sieglinde? Many. Jeannine Altmeyer, Waltraud Meyer, Evelyn Herlitzius, Nina Stemme, Eva-Mari...

Me too. I'm obsessed with Javert. Because the Lawr is WIN.

This one is Wim van den Driessche, but otherwise, my fave is Quast. I have a constant "I want to hug him" feeling when he sings.

I wait for this so much. I'm a big fan of Kirk and Spock... and a new movie can only be better than Nemesis was. It seems there will be a lot of explosions, but Young Spock looks pretty. I hope they will have that... certain... chemistry. :halo: My favourite ST movie is still First Contact. I just l...

Mae govannen! Now it works. *victory dance* I couldn't imagine what was wrong... I have been using a lot of phpBB forums, but I never had problems. Well, I'm Sieglinde, and I like stories with Rings and obsession. I'm from Hungary and found the link somewhere on Anke Eissmann's site. My favourites i...
