Oh, I know the feeling - my dear laptop decided to die right after I moved across the country. So now I have a new one! Luckily I also have an awesome roommate who helped me save all my files - good luck with yours. That keyboard sounds...really weird. You can probably get a normal one for really ch...

*E* - zomg you got a new computer?? That's totally awesome. :D Hooray for music and a (hopefully) decent processor speed!

I'm currently listening to Frightened Rabbit's Not Miserable, a song that pretty much suits me completely.

Strangely enough, I just made vanilla extract with my sister-in-law earlier this week.

For what it's worth, we used vodka and Madagascar and Tahitian beans. I liked the smell of the Madagascar ones much better.

Currently, Shearwater - Castaways, from yov's video link up there, cause it was also one of my favorite songs of this year. :D Glad to see The National up there too yov, though I wouldn't have picked that particular song myself. And I know it's been months and he probably won't even see this post, b...

 I could have sworn it was you! Can't think of where else I would have come across them.

Well in that case, TWT is right and you should check them out. ;) Nice acoustic act along the lines of Iron & Wine.

Great Lake Swimmers are awesome.

And I know yov likes them too, cause I'm fairly sure that's how I got into them. ;)

I did indeed. :)

It's funny, I meant to check them out cause I enjoyed their track from Dark Was the Night (how awesome was that, btw?) and then forgot about it till now.

Is that track off their new album or an older one?

Hmmm. I'll admit to not always really hearing whatever's playing, but I do like to have it as background noise. I have found I can't write with music on though, at least not music with words. Sigur Ros has become my go-to writing music, as Jonsi's Icelandic/made up wailing doesn't tend to distract m...

I rarely listen to music at home anymore cuz I'm usually watchin or readin something instead. You don't read and listen to music at the same time? I mean, neither do I if I'm listening to something for the first time and trying to decide if I really enjoy it or not, but otherwise I've nearly always...

Kinda makes Jesus sound like a bacterial infection that's going to get you if you don't say your prayers. :P Not quite what the sign was going for, I'm guessing.

I think yov's pretty damn hot already, but those are some impressive results. ;) I have never in the 25 years plus that I have worked ever disliked a co-worker more, or a person. She lies, steals things, and did not do her work, was too busy f--king her boyfriend in the bathroom, the company car, ec...

I think of those as old eyes more than fat eyes. ;)

I love before and after pics...like, let's pretend we don't notice the improved lighting, added makeup, and tinted brows in the after pic...nope, all that improvement was the result of surgery, yesiree...

I'd heard of it but not actually heard it. ;)

Now that I have...I think I like Bon Iver better, sorry. ;) I like the vocals, but the music is so repetitive.

Those guys certainly do get around, don't they? I swear they've made music under so many different names I've lost track.

You know, I thought a kipper was a fish, but then there's so much talk about having them for breakfast, and to me the idea of having fish for breakfast is...well. Not pleasant. So I did wonder if I was mistaken.

Then again, having fish at any time is unpleasant for me, so. :salmon:
