Sorry for my absence from this thread. :D Been very busy! The more time passes, the more fond I get of Al-Rassan. I love many of the points raised in this thread because I agree with many of them! :D I'm really an FT fan myself, but that's because it was my first love. Of all of them, it's the most ...

See, the Xbox holds no interest for me. I've got an anti-Xbox bias. :D I have yet to see an Xbox game commercial that would make me want to go out and buy it. I'm happy with my console being able to play only games without all the other media aspects. I'm sure when I'm with Maeg, he'll worry about t...

Why nice baddies? Which ones? :Q To Green Angel Tower (or Thorn) is also split into two volumes here, Din. I just like to count it as one. :P Like you, I think Williams did a very good job with Osten Ard. It's very rich, and he does some new things with the fantasy genre. I like how he paid close at...

I read this series years ago. It's probably the third fantasy series I read after LotR and The Fionavar Tapestry. I think. I'm re-reading this again, and I'm bowled over by its depth. I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed this series. Has anyone else read this one? Its three books are The Dragonbone Chai...

It looks snazzy. The question is, is it practical? I liked the GameCube controller a lot more than the PS2 controller. Then again, I only played Mario Party, Mario Kart and FIFA 200-something on GameCube. I'm more of an RPG player so I really can't say how the new PS3 controller will do. Good news i...

I can't see the pic you have there. I'm pretty excited about PS3 to be honest, but I've not heard much about it. I know it's being released next year. Wasn't there some kind of Gaming Expo this week where Microsoft and Sony unveiled their upcoming consoles?

I just beat it. I figured out I should just keep moving and make sure my characters are spread apart so that the thing can't hit all of them in one sweep. Also, I think I spent 3/4 of my time healing while one person (mostly Auron) attacked. I pretty much just used Auron, Tidus and Wakka. Off to see...

Well, I'm pissed. I'm stuck in Zanarkand. I can't beat this flying creature with wings who keeps hitting me with Berserk something. :( I don't want hints btw! I'll just keep trying. :rage: :bawl:

Great trilogy. :D I have the Collector's Edition with all three books wrapped in one. I particularly love the idea of the attachment to land (land law?). It's been a while so I might not remember all the names and the details, but I remember finding it quite beautiful.

I'm reading Guards, Guards! at the moment. It's great so far, and it's restored my faith in Pratchett. I read Lords and Ladies last year, and I was just so bowled over (Man, I love the witches!). Then, I read Witches Abroad, and it was a letdown especially considering they were great in Lords and La...

That's it! I'm definitely rooting for Joyce and Uchenna now! Joyce is a real trooper, and I hope they win this race! Screw Rob and Amber! :D I don't think I could've shaved my head (I don't think Maeglin would've let me either), so a big HURRAH for Joyce. Great support by Uchenna too. :D El, that's ...
