Hello, Crucifer just sent me a link to this. I'm in Dublin and safe, but drained by the whole thing. My boyfriend and former flatmate both live and work close to the affected areas (the flatmate left the railway terminus about half an hour before the bombing started) and a close friend's dad was in ...

:Q
I look forward to meeting them. I think.

Tell me about Dublin, those of you who know it? I've only been there once, and I was about 4 at the time.

Watcher - I was pretty thrilled myself. Thank you. :D But Ax, you refuse to come and visit me! Lidless, I'm in Delhi. ;) My boyfriend (whose name is not M.Phil, sadly) is in Mumbai though. This makes me sad. Alatar - I might take you up on that, thank you! I lived in Calcutta for a few months earlie...

Tosh! Very little has been happening to me. I got a diploma in publishing, am a freelance editor and columnist, and that's really it. :) Lidless mentioned the Ireland moot, Jude. I'll be in Ireland at the time, so it's really just a matter of getting finances right. I'd love to be there, obviously. ...

Lidless is in India for a few days and called me last night. He has ordered me to post this here: I am moving to Dublin in September*. I'll be doing an M.Phil in Popular Literature from Trinity college, and so will be around till next summer at least. I don't really know anyone there, so...anyone? E...

I'm going to be staying with a Milan fan next week during the final...this is going to end in either drunken crying or bloodshed. :help:

Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell might pass this...as might Perdido Street Station.

Oh, and the Discworld books. :D

The trains were 85% full today. (Usually they're about 150% full so that's not as amazing as it sounds). And the only friend I hadn't been able to contact contacted me.

Now that I'm no longer scared, I'm furious.

Since the earlier attacks were in Srinagar, it's safe to assume that it's over the Kashmir issue (it always is anyway) - there are various groups who would be responsible though..many of them based in Pakistan. Which is why the article Ber links mentioned that Pakistani leaders had condemned the att...

Lidless - I'm sorry, I never seem to pick up my phone, do I? Thabks, though.

Ber - I'm sure they're fine and it's just busy phone lines or something, but it's still scary.

I think Mahima's relatives are mostly in and around Delhi and Bangalore, so they're probably alright. I have family in Mumbai but was really worried about a few friends I couldn't contact. Still am, a little. :(

I was in the UK for a few days earlier this week and I thought of visiting Lush while I was there. So I went to the website to make a list of things I might want to buy. Nothing interested me. all the products I liked had been discontinued and none of the new ones had that earthy spicey fe...

Its when I read things like this that I realise how lucky I am (foodwise :D ) to live in this country. We buy our vegetables fresh from a vegetable market (mostly organic) every morning and try to finish them all within a couple of days. We (my family) used to grow our own peas...nowadays we buy the...

I remember reading the blog of someone who posed for one of his pictures. she said it was one of the most wonderful, liberating experiences she'd ever had, that it taught her to see the human body in all its forms as beautiful, etc.

I find Tunick's art fascinating. I'd pose.

They taught it at my school, but it was optional and only a few girls (and no boys :suspicious: ) took it. I didn't. They never seemed to do much actual cooking, anyway. I was lucky - with both parents working I had to learn to cook. I had a babysitter till I was about 10, after that I learned to fe...
