I haven't been here for ages...in fact, according to the stats, it's been about a year and a half. The genesis of b77 was controversy. The original board was designed to keep some people out, while allowing others to gossip about them. That was the singular and most unique feature of the board, the ...

Except few Christians still regard Leviticus as law. Maybe not, but Leviticus 20:13 (with the word "abomination" in it!) is the verse most quoted by so-called Christians when they are trying to justify themselves regarding their views on homosexuality. Both Leviticus and Paul's statements...

Well you were around 85% accurate.
In my view, this is both inappropriate and not very entertaining. Please refrain from making jokes about my gender in future.
Or yov's, for that matter.

I don't know. I seem to have edited the post when intending to comment - but I didn't do anything different. I KNEW I'd fuck up being a Ranger. I'll try to fix it... ETA: Okay, it's fixed. But the board thinks I'm Lidless, or something. Why else would I be able to edit his post like that, when I am ...

Wow, that is really, really strange.

Don't know quite what happened there. The quote was from Lidless, and the blue was me, but it posted as if I was Lidless.

Which I am not.

Lidless made a post in the Symp that was a verbatim quote from another source (in this case, Wikipedia.) He didn't make any indication that the words were not his - he just posted it as if they were his own words. I only caught it because I had recently looked up that very topic on Wiki and it sound...

In 1869 new rations of tinned mutton were introduced for British sailors. They were unimpressed by it, and decided it must be the butchered remains of Fanny Adams - a 7 year old murdered by a solicitor. The way her body had been strewn over a wide area presumably encouraged speculation that parts o...

In my opinion, anything the Republican Party can do to distance itself from the religious right would be a good thing all around.

Just got a PM from C_G complaining about s_f breaking "the rule" where they are not supposed to respond to each other directly.

I have to say, I think s_f has gone across the line more than once. What is the penalty supposed to be?

He's probably a deeply closeted homosexual himself.

Many people who speak and act so violently against something like this do it out of a deep self-loathing. Fred Phelps is another one.

I DO think Santa is special. My all-time favorite holiday movie is the original "Miracle on 34th Street" which is about a child (and her mother) coming to believe in miracles, magic and yes, Santa Claus. My kids did not lack any of that. But I never told them that Santa was real...I couldn...

I find it all very sad. Oh, that and the "I won't tell my children lies" holier-than-thou brigade. I find it ridiculous. As far as the "I won't tell my kids lies brigade" - when my mother told me (because I asked straight out) that there was no Santa Claus, I was devastated. Not...

I think both of them are murder, actually I am against the death penalty, but it seems that the lethal injection method attempts to make it somehow "clean" and "nicer." If you're going to kill someone as a deterrent, well, then do it at high noon and broadcast it on national TV. ...
