I have a hard time with rap, and find it hard to consider most of it music. That said, Seth Sentry did have a cute song about a waitress on the 2009 list. Maybe because I could relate to the waitress as I did that work for a couple years.

These items were my hand-wash delicates and had to be line dried. I had them out for two days, and today I was going to get them this morning but got distracted and when I remembered it started raining again. The mornings are dry though so tomorrow will be the day. I'll need some of them for work Mo...

Better than Nascar I think. All tracks are road corses, which are much more exciting to me than the Nascar ovals.

Anybody actually see the passing astroid today? I was a sucker who got up early just to go see if I could catch a glimpse of it. Alas, it was cloudy. :doh1:

And what about the meteor that fell in central Russia? That could happen anywhere! :help:

I'm actually excited to see Mercedes and Nissan entering the V8 Supercar racing series this year! It's been Ford & Holden for a long time.

Yes, I'm a car race fan! Usually I go watch then on the streets of the Gold Coast, but I'm going to Bathurst this year too!

Oh, a thread on Children of Hurin! I read it a couple times, but then I'm a Turin fangirl. I actually prefer this book to the Silmarillion. So Jude, I know its years later, but what specifically did you find in Chapters 6 and 7 that was unTolkienlike? Just curious. I did notice a couple places that ...

Ok, no comments. I guess its because its a year ahead of the USA mainstream? Gotye was the top of both the JJJ Hottest 100 & ZzZ's Hot 100 LAST YEAR (2011), and its just now getting a Grammy. Good work Gotye! :)

Well, the temperature here has bee hovering around 24°C, but the humidity is in the 90% range and its been rainy and windy. The creek by my house is full but not up to the bridge. The piping at the other end clogged with tree branches and flooded the road, but Main Roads came and cleared the blockag...

What ever you decide is cool with me. I just had a quick look at the many threads about this in the history archive, and it seemed like it was quite a big deal. I thought it was just an age thing. If it's more than that, may I suggest that it be hidden to anyone who doesn't have access?

Ah yes, the "I'll get to you someday" reading list. Mine is huge. I have decided to continue on into the second book. I managed to focus on a half dozen characters and it made the first book more enjoyable.

It's a cool, damp-feeling 24°C/75°F here with lots of rain dumping out from whats left of a tropical storm. Hoping I don't get cut off by the local creek flooding. The house I live in is high enough up a hillside to not flood, but the only two roads out cross a normally tiny creek.
