I'll put myself down as mainstream Christian although I do not share many of the beliefs. That said I try to follow the teachings of Christ and I believe it is a good church and system of beliefs in which to raise children. I like the values that it espouses and although I have a problem with many o...

Well, there were a lot of questions about this in one of the other threads so since it has garnered so much interest I thought I'd post a poll. Please fill in the details on any options I've missed! I've tried to concentrate on the larger religions. Church of Scientology for example could be categor...

Thanks Pandora! I think Tinwe Linto is another March Baby.

My Birthday Thread was back here in case you're interested. It was also my first thread on B77.

I spent a weekend in Vegas in '93. I have to say I really enjoyed it. I gambled for about 2 hours on the €3 Blackjack table and lost about $50. Not bad considering they fed you free alcohol while you were gambling. I ate Steak Dinners for about $10. Food and Drink were for nothing as was the Accom...

Are you familiar with her Album of covers, "Strange Little Girl"? I was very fond of that one.

I am a little concerned about the idea of purging members. I agree that inactive members should have no say in voting etc but I dislike the idea of purging them. Firstly, I have often returned to a site after a long period (TORN being one) and tried to post on a point that interested me only to find...

Rowanberry, I can relate. From a m00bies perspective there were probably less than 10 people here that knew me when I joined. I knew slightly more than that having lurked far a long time on TORC before I posted, but even given that I didn't even recognise the names of most of the posters in here. Ha...

Looking forward to meeting you Wilko!

I never posted with you on TORC but I look forward to correcting that here.

I think the Quorum issue is a tricky one. It may be difficult to get even 30% of posters to post. Most people are inclined to trust that others know what they are doing until problems start surfacing. I know I never even read the TOS at TORC when I joined. It was only when there were issues that I s...

I love it here, but I'm waiting for it to settle down! I'm currently trying to keep up with all threads but I can't do that indefinitely. Normally I would have set up camp in Movies, Books and Music but they seem to be the least active forums here (after RP). I'm a bit worried that everything seems ...

Yova, While there may not have been any gay bars in the Shire, homosexuality has existed since the dawn of time and was often more open in times past than it is now. Greece and Rome were particularly noted for their openness to homosexuality and indeed all forms af sexual intercourse including paedo...

Sorry Lidless, I'm not really following you. Are you suggesting that Alys has been demodded or resigned?

Or am I missing the point?

Great to see you Tosh. Your posts have been some of the few still worth reading in m00bies on TORC!

Glad to have you here.

Well, as promised, here's the clip. A couple of caveats! I normally have a beard, glasses and grey hair. Also I couldn't adjust the aspect ratio of the clip so I'm not quite as fat as I look here (close though)! Enough excuses...

I'm fairly good technically. Not a PHP expert but I'm familiar with MySQL which is the Boards' backend. I'm also fine with general domain hosting configuration and stuff. I could also install updates and patches if necessary. Do we have a backup cron set up?

My time zone is GMT.

All hail the great Kams who has kept the "Game for those who have NOT seen the film too many times" running practically singlehanded!

We've missed you Kams. Hope you missed us too!

Well, I had a listen to some samples of his stuff on Amazon but I have to say it's not really my thing. He reminds be a little of Dylan. Probably a very good songwriter but I find it hard to listen to him.

Thanks for the heads up though.
