Someone in my Web Development class was from Ghana. Her grandfather used to sell goods made from python skin. She told us how he used to catch the pythons :Q :Q :Q :Q Apparently he used to sit on his truck pretending to be asleep, with one leg bent. A python would eventually come along and decide to...

Speaking of plant care, I was considering getting some plants to spruce up my new place. I would need something affordable and easy for someone with no gardening knowledge to take care of. I was looking for something fairly unique looking, something that would keep my interest. A plain fern or what...

Thanks, I've just downloaded it and was able to open the file. But I'm not sure what commands I use to shift the audio a split-second back.

Edit: Hang on, I might have the answer...

Lalaith (or should I say Lidless, since we're on to you now) - I think Silwen was referring to a list she maintained of birthdays of the members of the Bookworms' Lounge on TORC.

A question about pruning: Do I cut off the stem just above the highest pair of leaves, or just below, or even lower than that? Anybody done greenhouse gardening? Is it expensive to do? My mom has a window greenhouse, and she also has a cold frame, but she has not done "greenhouse" gardenin...

Thanks, I'll give it a try. :)

An unrelated question: I have a .wmv file of my recital, and the sound is a split-second after the video. Is there a way I can get them co-ordinated?

Alatar - gdisk sounds like it might be what I need. Is it free?

Matty - not sure what you mean by low-level formatting. I boot into the command line, and then used fdisk. Is this the same thing?

Arrrgh!!! I was just reading the first page of this thread, and I came across this typo - well, maybe an error in logic rather than a typo: Yahoo won't let you link directly to the image on the page, just the page itself. They've got special code to prevent you from seeing the ads. What I meant to s...

I'd love to come, but that won't be possible after all as I am already flying to the US this summer. Couldn't wait all that long until winter. :) But should I get to Ottawa sometime when I am no longer broke, I will let you know and drop by.:D Hm, I just shamelessly invited myself. :blackeye I was ...

Whoever called me "hoplessly arrogant".
That would be Grey_Elf from TORC, back on 1 Sept. 2001 :Q

And he (or she?) only said your "whole point of view" was hoplessly arrogant, not you yourself. An entirely different thing.

Watcher - I assume this is the article you've read? Microsoft support article One workaround you could use: if you absolutely must use IE as your main browser, when you see an image you want to save, right click it, and choose "Properties". Copy the url beside "Address" by draggi...

Matty - do you know how to access and edit the boot record of a disc? I don't have a virus, but I do have the remnants of a program called BootMagic that I can't get rid of, several formats later. Watcher - what happens when you right-click an image in IE and choose "properties"? Does it s...
