Yeah, I thought that was pretty suspicious.

Okay, today's bot actually played the smackdown correctly. Should I be impressed?

Is that even possible? And do bots make posts that don't have links and scams in them? I genuinely assumed it must be some old poster I don't remember.

It just registered today. But it gave the correct answer! I didn't think a bot can do that. Although the next cue is not a real word.

Also, damn, how did that simple, silly little game get 92 pages worth of posts?? Those were the days....

Okay, so we know the bots are not getting in because we had an outdated version. I'm open to suggestions...

I've changed to a Q&A Authentication now. Should stop them for a while.

Account activation:
This determines whether users have immediate access to the board or if confirmation is required. You can also completely disable new registrations. “Board-wide email” must be enabled in order to use user or admin activation.

I've set it to Admin activation now. Mean one of us has to manually activate new users. Maybe we should prune the old ones?

I just deleted a bunch of users after I figured out that Prune Users was the best way to do this. If I accidentally got someone real, then I apologize, but I don't think I did. (Even if someone was real, if they registered after 2011 and had fewer than 4 posts, then I'm not feeling too sad about that.)

I never noticed that "Prune Users" feature before. Cool!

I noticed one of the users pruned was "umbiblicalcord". Even if it's a bot, I think it deserves special recognition for its username.

So we have a notification to approve a user called "dianne365". What do you think? I think it sounds like a bot, but should we give her/him/it a chance?

I usually check out the IP location first, but I seriously doubt it's a real person regardless.

At this point, I doubt any real poster whom we don't already know is going to sign up here.

Thank you for valiantly fighting the bots!
