It might be worthwhile knowing what I did wrong that caused you not to have the Edit button - I've always found it unsettling to have the Edit next to the Quote button, because it's so easy to push the wrong button.

If it's technically possible, I think it would be easier for all of us if we only saw the Quote button, and on the few occasions we need to edit someone else's post, to log into the Administrator's account to do so.

I think I found the problem--it seems that I don't have Global Moderator permissions turned on. I compared my permissions against Lali's and she does have them. I went ahead and gave myself the Global Moderator permissions, but it seems that by not having that turned on we can still have access to all the necessary Admin functions (and obviously, I can post in this thread). Since we all have access to the Admin account and the Admin functions there probably isn't any reason to add the Global Moderator group to new Rangers, especially if you don't want to see the "edit" button on every post.

I just removed myself from the Global Moderators group, and it looks like I have access to all the Admin functions except that I can only edit my own posts. This may be a good option for rangers that are nervous about having the Quote and Edit buttons so close together.

I added jewelsong to the ranger pool list. She ended up at the top because the top 4 either couldn't serve now at all or asked to wait till later. If you think she should go somewhere else, feel free to move her there! I just really wasn't sure where to plug her in at. She asked on May 20, 2009 to be added to the list. Wait, I guess I could move her to after C_G, who asked the day before. <goes and does that>

ETA: Okay, fixed that all up! I think we're good now till Nin steps down. We have 5 Rangers.

River said she's willing but will be absent for a couple of weeks in February/March. Is that all right with you all?
