I got Firefox blocking popup ads and still see the damn things.

Or wait.

I set Firefox to allow popups from B77 so I can get the PM notifications. Should switch that off and see if I still see the ads, then :doh1: :blackeye

Curses, you discovered my money making venture  :D

I haven't seen them myself but am at work at the moment. When did they start appearing?

I have IE and I don't see them. The only pop-up blocking that I use is the Google tool bar, which has a pop-up blocker (for free!). I have a firewall at home, but not here at work, and I don't see them here either (though I did have a problem here at work with that annoying fly buzzing ad a while back).

Yes you should.

Anything new from the phpbber forum?

Nothing after my post this morning.

I think we could use a few more people registering and posting to keep the thread bumped until someone notices.

These ads only started a day or two ago. Well, that's when I noticed them. I don't think it's a pop-up related issue because they are embedded in my normal window, not popping up over it. I suspect it is phpbber who placed them.

Strange. You lot must have talked this up. Now I'm starting to see them now.

I just saw a one-inch gap between two posts in another thread. No ad, but something has crept in.

As ad banners go, I find this pretty benign.

The site admin just posted in Leoba's thread that because of negative feedback, the ads will be removed by this weekend.

I am running IE and I don't have ads, just a space.
I keep telling everyone about Norton Internet Security, but nobody listens.

I hadn’t even seen these ads until I came into this thread. Now I’m seeing them everywhere. I should have known better.

Holby, did you say something?

If only someone would tell me what I could do about this!! Doesn't Norton have some kind of program to stop these ads? Anyone know what it's called?

Duffy, supposedly they're taking the ads away this weekend--too many complaints from the member boards.
