You know me, Prim. Once I set my sights on something, its full speed ahead. I was going to do some more tonite, but I'll take a break. :)

Still there's we're only about halfway done, so I'm sure they'll be plenty left for you to do. And plenty of other things to do before we open, as well. :) :) But its really starting to look real.

It is, isn't it? :D I expected to be happy, but I didn't expect how much it means to me.

I've finished page 6. :)

One thing I've noted is that a significant number of people (maybe 20%) had sticky powers that the were not supposed to have. Once this is done, that won't be possible any more. :)

Leave me some? Please? I think I'm the only one who hasn't done any yet and I feel guilty. Tuesday!

With all you've done? Especially when you were a one-woman-four-ring-circus before the rest of us joined in? Your sense of guilt is a little over developed me thinks.;)

Prim, there's plenty left for ya. I will be quite busy this week (8 depositions :Q :Q :Q ), so I probably will not get to do any more of this task. Its all yours.

The one piece of advice that I have is to watch out the odd misplaced "off" or "on". It can be maddening to think that you've got all the off's and on's lined up and your ready to go to simple mode, only to find that there is some hidden misplace on or off.

This is a wonderful task for teaching patience. :)

Only done throug khams, sloiw, precise Swiss here.....
- one question, though - I saw that plenty of the people under my fingertipps today had view rights to ToE but had not been added to the ToE usergroup - I first thought it was a glitch, so I added The Watcher, then I saw it concerned several persons, if not almost all - so Laureanna: what were your criteria for adding or not adding people to ToE?

LOL, it is, isn't it, Voronwe? But I noticed that after the first couple of times of having to go back again and again for a forgotten button, I started to become more practised (or more diligent ;) ).

Nin - I'm not entirely sure, but I think you may have given permission to some of the wrong people. :blackeye

In individual permissions, "view" is set to "on", that means the members can see the name of the forum on their front page.
However, if all the others are switched to "off" that means they've never asked permission to read and post there!

I just added one who is The Watcher.... everybody else can blissfully continue to ignore... Before I re-deactivate the name, I wanted to check.

I didn't notice any problems with people not being added to the TOE group that should have. But I'm sure if anyone has a problem they'll let us know. :)

My criteria for adding to TOE was that they had individual permissions On AND that I noticed it. I could very well have skipped some people. Thanks for catching my mistakes.

laureanna, I've done like four pages worth of this and I didn't notice any mistakes. Of course, I might have missed them too, but I think for the most part you got it right. :)

Those whom I noticed had only view on, not the other permissions, and I wondered if there was a difference.

I don't thin necessarily there or there were or are mistakes, just wondering if there is a difference between those who have view and those who have the other permissions. And I PMed The Watcher to ask what she prefers to remain on the ToE List or to be taken off again. At least I know for sure, she is over 18....

Voronwë and Laureanna, I did not want to accuse anybody of mistakes, I just wondered (and asked)

At the time ToE was created, people were offered the option of seeing the forum name and the forum; seeing the name but not the forum; and not seeing even the name.

When we open, I am assuming VIEW will be set to ALL for all forums except the two "invisible" Ranger forums. VIEW just means seeing the forum title. So everyone will see "Thinking of England" in the forum list. They just won't be able to go in without permission.

At present, people in All_Members don't see the forum name—that was decided because some members had elected not to see it, given the choice. When we open, that will no longer be an option.
