Mossy, 22 looks? :D

Really, that intro is fine. When you and Pip have decided what the schedule will look like on July 6, I would post that in the thread, and what forums things are going to happen in. Other than that, inviting people to introduce themselves there is the best thing you can do.

Myst, yay, thank you! Those are wonderful. :D

Not one single person has given me any feedback on the intro thread in Welcome. 21 views and not one comment! Not helpful. I could really use some comments on this, whether in here or by PM. Here's the thread.
It's very nice, Maiden! :)

Maybe a bit short? (But I guess there's more to come?)
I was just thinking that if I were a newbie, I'd probably wonder what the welcoming committee was for (it says "I will be one half of your welcoming committee..." so you expect that they are going to do something) - but I guess once you add the programme and schedule of events, it'll be clear that this is what they are for! :)

Not anymore. :Q

Hobby, good point. I added a "look around for some parties in the forums, and feel free to join in, schedule coming soon" type thing. There'd be more if I knew what else to put. . . :scratch

Thanks for the input, everyone! Much obliged. :)

Excellent! All set for tomorrow then, is it?

I shan't be here for the actual opening (alas). I'll be on a plane home, and won't arrive until probably around 23:00 here, which is 4:00 GMT (maybe?). I don't think we'll have a huge rush right at the opening ;) so that shouldn't be a problem. . .

ETA: Myst, I hope you don't mind. . . I took you up on the offer of using one of your lovely banners. I'll see if I can make my own tomorrow so as not to mooch, but they really are fun. . . If it bothers you, please feel free to say so and I'll take it down. :)

Es una pregunta buena, Voronwe. Yo no se.

Pips was supposed to post her latest idea to get a reaction, but apparently she's not doing that. So I will.

I'm not entirely sure I get it, so bear with me.

Because b77 is such a collaborative/democratic place, Pips wanted to know if we could somehow incorporate peoples talents. For example, Rodia's drawings, Tosh's sculpture, Eru's musicalness. Any thoughts?

One thought that I had is that we could create a temporary forum for the opening party so that people could start different threads and it wouldn't be limited to the one main thread. The forum could be read-only for everyone except the two of you until the party started, so you could start "decorating" it in advance, but no one else would be able to post anything until it was time for the big event.

I think this could tie in with Pips idea. What do you (and others) think?
