I'll sign up for jury duty.

Just don't make me wait all day in the courthouse when I get called in for it.

Jury duty here is perfect, Faramond.

You can even drink beer while you wait. :D In fact, you can probably finish a master's degree while you wait.

I'll add you now, and thanks!

While I'm volunteering for things, sign me up for mediator and jury duty. I will work on the knowledge of the charter, and let you know when I feel confident enough to be a loremaster.

:D

I'll help wherever I can. Loremaster is out of my range, but I'll do Jury Member or Mediator if requested.

I took the liberty to add my name to juror and mediator.

Edited: And after a PM from Teherin added her for jury duty.

Although my duties as Resident Miserable Poltroo (which, I will note with great chagrin, has not been included in the Charter but which I would like to make clear is a lifetime appointment made by Primmy back in the Dark Ages) absorb virtually all of my time, I believe I would be able to serve as one of the peremptory challanges (or, as described in the Charter, a contested juror) during a dispute. {translation: I'll volunteer as a Juror, if holding the august title of Resident Miserable Poltroo does not automatically disqualify me from acting in such a capacity; and I guess I'll throw in Mediator, too, although G-D help anyone who agrees to be mediated by the likes of me!!!}

Please add my name to the list of potential jurors and mediators, too.

Although potentially serving with TORN does give one pause... is paltrooishness contagious?

:P

I'm up for mediator any time, juror as soon as my GCSEs are over (bloody hell! That's next week! :Q) Okay, I'd like to be added to both lists please. :P

Edited my own name into the lists for Jury Duty and Mediator (LOL, I had no idea the lists had been moved) - not sure about Loremaster, if someday I manage to read the Charter really carefully and find I can remember it, I'll sign up, but at the moment I find the stuff very difficult to remember. ;)

I will also add my name to the list of Jury members, although I would ask though that it is later rather than sooner for me as I am busy now and will be away most of August anyway.

Having said that, I would also be interested in the Loremaster (I still hate that name) position but like TH, I wan't to know more about it and at the moment I need to look into it more.

Do we have 'job requirements' mail that can be sent for these positions? It seams it wouuld help me (and TH) now, but more importantly, for future Jury members, Loremasters, Mediators, Mayors etc etc, who have not been part of the setting up of this board and the arguments that have happened, they will help .

:)

I'll add your name to both before you get cold feet.

We have... kind of a job requirement thingie.. but not in the format of a mail. Jny is devising some templates for email that can be sent to members once they become elegible... plus other templates too :)

I've created a Terminology page on our free geocities site where the entire constitution is uploaded (of course... this is ongoing and still under additions and corrections).

I'm sure the stickies here will also be revised, crosslinked etc. to make all this easier :)

The Handbook for Jurors, Mediates & Loremasters has now been uploaded on geocities. We're not linking it from the Charter Index page on geocities but from this thread (and from the one in the Jury room I believe)

the link is: http://uk.geocities.com/b77_ad/Handbook ... ndbook.htm

:) Please update accordingly. Thanks!

!Achtung!

Rangers - Alandriel pointed out that this thread should be locked before we open because none of the new people coming in will be able to volunteer for jury duty in this thread.

Those of you who are already eligible and decide that you do want to serve, PM Jnyusa or send an email to:

mayor_b77@yahoo.com

Thanks!

Jn

The listing for Mediators is in 2nd post Bike room sticky
