I got no problem with the "b77" part. Sure, it's not the most onomatopoeic name in the world, but all in all, I like it.
It's when you add that pesky "-er" suffix to it that it gets unwieldy.
b77er. bleh!
b77ite? No better.
b77ista? Definitely not.
Well . . .
If a basketball team can be called the 76ers, then we can call ourselves 77ers
Yeah, but let's not.
If we are the Last Homely Site on the Web, then we can call ourselves homies
As in - 'sup homie?
ehh.. the best so far, I guess.
If we are a democratically governed internet community, then we can call ourselves democrats
That one's taken already.
If we stand for Free Exchange of Ideas, Diversity, Fellowship, Transparency and Self-Government, then we can call ourselves fdfts . . . er, fudfuts
You do and you'll clean it up.
If B77 is a refuge in the turbulent seas of the internet, then we can call ourselves refugees
Too evocative of the whole exodus from TORC aspect of our past. We're moving onward into the future.
If we have a mayor in Michel Delving and are guarded by Rangers, then we can call ourselves shirelings
hmmm... too cutesy for my tastes, but I still don't have a better suggestion.
If we all like to post on a messageboard, then we can call ourselves posters
Too generic.
Okay, apparently I have no good ideas at all, just some free time to kill
That's okay, we're used to that.
But your ideas were still better than my complete lack of ideas.
