Ax, your smileys suck. And your taste in bridge colors sucks, too.

So there.

Hey, at least I use DOMESTIC smileys, not those FOREIGN ones that studies suggest cause BOARD CRASHES. :D

I'm a member, and I'm here to moderate you.

Don't make me form a committee.

She'll do it too! I've seen her do it!

Highly effective procedure, that. Thanks, Jn.

Alright, get thee out onto the rest of the board and stop loitering in the business room! :rage:

I hereby request permission to form a committee to determine what percentage of the Business Forum can be devoted to meaningless chatter that should be consigned to The Turf.

Additionally, since this is a member-moderated board, as Prim reminds, I would like to use my powers as a member-moderator to split the Business Forum into two: Business-Fun and Business-Serious. That way, I will be able to choose not to even venture into the latter one. It's getting frustrating, having to read through all those serious Business posts just to find the interesting ones. ;)

I would like to use my powers as a member-moderator to pelt TP with water balloons.

I would also like to use my powers as member-moderator to remind Prim of her promise of no serious words in August, and would like to invoke my powers as a fellow goofball to declare her successful so far. I would also like to know where she got this rug, but I have no powers to ask such a question.

Furthermore, I would like to invoke my power as a member of the board to remind Ax that his color choice for bridges still stinks, and to announce my not-to-be-trifled-with opinion that his grasp on the concept of smiley selection is tenuous at best.

And, finally, I would like to invoke my powers as a former member of the Constitutional commitee and my significant influence on all things aquatic as a life-long Pisces to remind everyone that there is a Beach Party going on in Turf.

Thank you for your kind attention.

:P

(Actually, I wanted to say thanks to Ax for finding the discussion I had with wilko interesting - I was worried I was boring the socks off people! :)
I'm afraid I've lost track of where I was in the discussion, though, and it looks like I won't have time to catch up on it - sorry about that - wilko, you can count that as scoring a point, if you like! :D

And I wanted to ask Tosh about the Sartre-reference, because I didn't understand it. :blackeye: )

Anthy dear, none of us have powers to deal with the rug.

It may be a phpbber thing.

Or maybe the founders thought orange fleur-de-lis on a hot pink ground would cheer everybody up.

However, since even before my arrival (upon which almost my first act was to complain about the carpet), said carpet has absorbed quantities of beer, wine, lemonade, tea, lattes, invective, irony, sarcasm, blood, toil, tears, and sweat—sufficient to account for its present sticky state and sort-of-bricky-black color.

If you would care to form a carpet selection committee for the new board, I feel sure your considerable energies would greatly benefit the future of b77.

Until then, I suggest we all keep our eyes on the distant horizon.

Ladies and gentlemen, I don't know that this has anything to do with either bridges OR carpets, but we now officially have a completed Charter. Congratulations to all and sundry.
