Anthy and I are the first two who started this thread on its current course. In fact, I'm the one who posted the first mock "criticism" of Jn. I seem to have this issue with getting involved in mock threads. :help:

Except that this one, I don't regret at all. :) This was yet another thread in which people were upset with each other, and in my judgment was about to become the latest cesspool of insults and bad feeling. Anthy and I, followed by many many others, brought in a light-heartedness to a thread that would have had none. I've never been so proud of a successful osgiliation. For the first time, we were laughing together a little bit. Maybe even having a little bit of fun. Do you know how long it's been since some of us felt that on this board, Semprini?

I'm confident that Jn knows how much I respect her. I have not jeopardized that respect in any way by posting in this thread. She has posted here that our comments made her laugh and that she understood the joke.

Semprini, thanks for your concern.

In this case, I thought the thread was terrible funny. It did defuse some bad feelings that were beginning to accumulate again.

It is correct that hal did NOT start the thread, nor did he name it.

I split the thread from the new "Talk-to-a-Ranger" thread to keep that one clean for anyone needing a Ranger to actually do something on the board. And I gave the thread its title, which was a bit unfair to hal - I didn't realize until after I did it that it does appear on the BR index as if hal started the thread and named it. But he is able to change the title if he wishes.

It would, wouldn't it?

It's generous of you to be able to see it that way.
