Jny... I'm trying. :blackeye: I'm on the fence, hardcore. Like you, I'd like to get some things done, but then I'd also like to just ignore it all, like Liddy, and enjoy my holidays.

Well, think about it and vote one way or the other. :)

I never, ever vote first in a poll that I started.

Whoops.

I am deeply sorry folks--I didn't realize that the committee for Charter Simplification has been recomposed, and that that means I am no longer necessarily on it (I am still listed on the "Bike Racks" Committee, though I got caught up with Jury stuff and was unable to contribute much). I voted in the Jury Room thread, so you may want to remove one "Jan 2" vote, since I'm not sure if I want to stay on the Committee once the Bike Racks issue is settled.

My apologies.

Thanks, Tinsel.

You're not automatically off the committee. You're entitled to stay on it if you want to. Just let me know so I can keep count of the members.

The only reason we're doing a rotation is because some people did express a strong wish to be let off the committee once the Bike Racks was settled, and there were others who wanted very much to participate in the simplification process.

I voted the opposite to counteract your vote. Truth is I wouldn't have voted either way as I am currently limited in my ability to participate so if it is decided to pursue the basic changes now my own input will be limited and sporadic until after New Years.

Got way too much on my plate until after New Years. This is why I hate December.

Well, it really doesn't look as if people are going to keep swimming in this discussion and a couple people did not vote. So I'm just going to let it drop until after the new year.

If this amendment passes, where should I put my bicycle?

You mean you guys have on-site parking?! All this time, I thought we had to park in the lower lot and take the shuttle. That's my excuse anyway.

Hi yovargas! :D

Oh, chains? I didn't realized things were getting interesting in Turf! Should I wear leather and bring my whips too? ;):P:D

On a serious note, I propose an amendment to the proposed amendment that will change the name of the Bike Racks to something more indicative of their new, more exclusive and solemn purpose.

I am not much up on wrestling, but what about "The Cage"?

Hi, gdm. There is no new, more solemn purpose being proposed for the Bike Racks. BR was always intended for dispute resolution.

What this amendment proposes is that BR not also be used for mocking the dispute resolution process (or whatever other inventive purposes might be thought up in due time).
