First of all when admins move threads, they need to uncheck that little box that asks you if you want to leave a shadow of the thread in the forum it was first started in.

We do have some shadow threads still hanging around though and I found out the hard way yesterday that if you delete the shadow thread, you also deleted the entire thread that was moved. Crazy if you ask me, but it happens. So, if you come across a shadow thread, just let 'em be.

Ooooh good caveat! I would have fallen into the same trap myself :Q

I've figured out the conundrum that are the shadow threads. Those "moved" threads don't really exist. All they do is take you to the real thread when you click on them. So, those "moved" threads cannot be moved or deleted themselves since they are basically only a link. Nothing can be done about them. They'll just have to stay where they are.

You just delete them Eru. :D

Make sure the thread has moved. Go into 'moderate this forum', click on the box by the shadow, then go to the bottom and click on delete.

It will ask if you sure you want to delete, click yes, and the shadow is gone.

You cant move the shadow, this is the only way to remove them.

I will do a clean up sweep :Q

See, done ;)

It's just something to be aware of when we move threads.
