Aww... I like both, but if we have to get rid of one, I'd say keep the orange one.

If we have to pick then yes, the orange one is better ... but I like both too, I can just never remember the smiley code for the second!

The yellow one is more evil. The red one looks like a kid having a temper tantrum. I think they both may have their uses.

I can't imagine ever using the yellow one; it lacks even a hint of humour! If I was really that angry with someone, I think I'd take it to a VERY ABUSIVE AND EXPLICIT EMAIL rather than cluttering the MB with my spleen.

EDIT forgot to vote, didn't I

...and I'd also like to add that if I ever read a post responding to anything I'd said with that emoticon used on it, I think I'd feel very...attacked, I guess. I really does lack a sense of fun, which is what makes all the smileys so useful - they may express all kinds of emotions but they nevertheless have a sense of the quirky and fun about them that makes them so inoffensive.

The PO'ed one doesn't.

IMO

I like the orange one better. The yellow one just looks angry - I can't see it in a humorous way.

So yeah, the orange one please :)

Can't say I've ever used :rage:. I like po'ed. I don't swear myself, so it feels very good to let him do it for me. Perfect for "commenting" on wolf hunt and other my-country's-screwing-up-things... (po'ed)

(But he does take up a lot of space in the text...)

I use the orange one when I pretend to be angry, I'd use the yellow one if was really upset, I guess. Don't think I've used it yet, but it's handy. The orange one is really just for fun.

I think if you're really upset the best bet is not to use smilies. They confuse. The reader will either think you're hinting that you're not taking this as seriously as your words imply (i.e. laughing at your own anger) or, the opposite, think that your emotions run exactly as high as that smiley's. :Q

I'd have trouble working out a post that used po'ed or :rage: in a serious way.

I mean if I'm seriously upset...if someone hurt me...I won't put :bawl: into my post. It makes it look like a tease.

Well, if I'm seriously upset, I'll use this guy: :rage: Though he can be used in a less serious way.

It's looking like Po'ed guy is going be leaving soon!

It's nice to, when being Really angry, be able to put lots of icons without repetition...keep it.
