Wow!

I've just spent the last twenty minutes or so browsing your son's incredible art work, Prim.

Talented boy.

Some of the ... rendings?.... computer paintings? are absolutely breath-taking and I love his captions and description of what each represents to him.

Reminds me a bit of Turner in a different medium.

Lovely stuff.

Thanks, Sass. I've been passing on people's praise--he's a confident kid, but when he hears people like his work he just glows.

Glows not in the Nuclear-Galadriel sense, one hopes.

He doesn't insist that we love him and despair, if that's what you mean.

In fact we love him and are pleasantly hopeful. :)

On a time, I messed around with that software that produces those pics.
I never even came close to producing anything like that. That is a nice job.
I liked making those pics, but I hated waiting for hours to see what I made. I think you need a Super Cray to run that software. So many calculations.

Prim, I have just spent some time looking at your son's work. It is beautiful. It's so poignant what you said about him having the vision but not the hands of an artist. What a blessing that he has found this remarkable way to express himself.

The pic in your sig - I honestly thought it was of the part of the US where I live (southern Colorado). A lot of Northern New Mexico looks like that too - strikingly carved plateaus and cliffs. (Are you familiar with Chaco Canyon?)

Please convey my very sincere admiration to your talented son!

Darn! I keep forgetting about PM... y'know, that it actually WORKS and all, on this board...

:help:

I already sent emails, but I will TRY to remember PM as an option in the future.
