But that would require an amendment to the charter. The charter does not mention a smilie committee. Ad hoc committees are mentioned, but I don't know whether "ad hoc" could be construed as including anything frivolous (it being an important-sounding Latin phrase).

I think we need a committee to study that.

Prim:

Assuming arguendo that a Smilie Committee is not prima facie non-frivolous, it would still be as valid an ad hoc committee as the ToE committee, even mutatis mutandis.

Holby, I found some interesting ones and added them to the B77experiment set. But I did not get much favorable reaction when I suggested adding them here, because several people complained that the smiley page takes forever to load and they don't want to see any more smilies added.

But we definitely need a poll. I'm in poll withdrawal at the moment.

The tumbleweed one is cool.
If you ever read Jnyusa's account of an incident of road rage you would welcome a jny scrabbling at her auto's console smiley. I'd like to see a flouncing troll one too.

Ditto on the flouncing troll. Might be difficult though.

There have been some comments floating around that the drool smiley is not working on people’s browsers. I use Internet Explorer myself, and the smiley shows up as an empty box. I found another drool smiley in the phpBBer list, but I can’t remember what the old one looks like. Can someone who uses firefox or some other browser that works tell me if this is the same smiley as the one we have been using? If it is, I will just go ahead and replace it with this one.

The old one:

The new one: edit - never mind!

Not the same one. And to be honest, I think the old one is much, much better (dark orange and staring). I'd hate to see it go.

Thanks. I remember it now. I do like it better - this one looks like he’s foaming at the mouth instead of drooling. Like he ate some rotten meat or got bit by a rabid racoon or something. Ok, I’ll leave it like it is. Maybe it will start working again someday!
