Eru: Vote Nader!

Alandriel, I tried to coax the test to something like "right wing libertarian" but that doesn't work. My personal views place me somewhere some inches to the left and south of that graph, but I must admit that my political ideas are somewhat curbed when it comes to daily life.

He's a bit too wacky I think...plus a vote for the libertarian party is a wasted vote right now. For people who tend to swing to the left, voting libertarian would actually hurt them because it would disperse liberal voting and help the conservatives.

I wish it wasn't so.

Btw, what are you wearing in that picture you have there? It almost looks like you are wearing an Imperial Soldier's uniform from Star Wars. :P

I understand that. And though I think Nader is a brilliant man, his lonesome stance against all is hopeless, hopeless, hopeless.

You are quite correct about the stormtrooper "armour", and I've changed my sig so you can see the whole pic - Canamarth makes a birthday motto party on January 8th, and I'm still shying back from trying to pry myself into hard plastic again (I wore that thing only once).
Now that's whacky (compared to Nader). :D

Bladdy hell, I knew my University is trying to brainwash me...

Economic left or right: -7.50

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.15.

But then I see this graph is judging me by US norms, not European ones. Plus several of the questions were quite badly worded, in my opinion. Talk about double negatives and bad grammar!

*Gives a stern look* unless they are supposed to be difficult to comprend...

Hmm I wonder if I would get a different result if I did this quiz at a more respectable time?

That site was made by someone who was European Edain. You can tell by the spelling...using 's' instead of 'z' in words like "scrutinised". So to me, that would say the graph isn't judging by US norms. ;)

I agree with you about the questions. I wish "neutral" could have been a choice as well because on some issues I feel like I haven't figured out what my stance is...that I could reason either way.

See it is normal :LMAO:

I would love Stormtrooper Scout armour, but only to go Ewok hunting.

I suggest that instead of all these tedious invites, we simply ask people to take this test.

If they're a pinko free-lover, they're in.

Now that's an interesting proposition

Maybe you can hack the site Lidless and once people are through (and only the relentless ones will make it  ) and their stats are ok they get redirected to B77

:Q

Be afraid. I was in a mellow mood when I took it this time...I have gotten more negative scores at times.... :Q

Axordil... why do I have the impression that this is the beginning of a long friendship?

Hellooooo, Ax!! Great to see you here.

I haven't taken the test yet, but will probably come out Left-Lib also, or pinko free-love as the case may be.

Ax, would you object if I did the honors of starting a Hash House Thread here for catch-all political discussions? I'm thinking, "HasH House Within Sight of Valinor"

Actually, I should ask whether anyone else would mind, too? I'm not much of a thread-starter over in TORC, but here every thread STANDS OUT because there are still so few of them.

I want my category to read "Pinko commie Euro tree-hugger".

And yes please! Let's get a political thread up! :)

Jny, as an 'anyone else', I say: just do it.

I'm a hopelessly bad debater (nervous of confrontation), but I love lurking in political and philosophical debate threads. So I'll pull up a deckchair on the sidelines until I get an urge to plunge a toe into the water.

OK!! Give me a day or two to write an opening post. I'm in the middle of writing lectures/reading lists this minute and dare not distract myself too much.

HI ETHEL!

edit: 5 min later. Nope, Ethel's gone. Shucks.
