Apparently, this pastor had a couple of possibly prophetic dreams and believes that he has to spread the word that a large earthquake in Oregon is going to happen in a couple of weeks.

Then all of a sudden Ezekiel 3:17-21 came to mind. “Son of man, I have appointed you a watchman to the house of Israel; whenever you hear a word from My mouth, warn them from Me. 18 "When I say to the wicked, 'You will surely die,' and you do not warn him or speak out to warn the wicked from his wicked way that he may live, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand.
Nice. So God is gonna kill a few thousand people and then pin the murder on this poor smucks soul. And of course, murdering a whole city is a perfectly reasonable and moral response to some people having gay sex. 10 thousand eyes for an eye.

The promoters of this parade went ahead with it anyway. They were in a sense making an obscene gesture at God, just defying Him to try that again.
The nerve of some people! Waving their fabulousness in god's face. God sounds like an unfair entity.

Wiping out two cities over a parade does sound like a bit of an over-reaction.

Exactly, seeing as how there are major fault zones in that area that could cause quakes.

Now if it was Topeka Kansas that might be something. ;)

Seeing as that place in New England hasn't been flattened by tornadoes, earthquakes and terrorist attacks after they stopped teaching intelligent design in schools, I think that Pat Robertson's predictive credibility has taken a bit of a hit.

In another in a series of notable pronouncements, religious broadcaster Pat Robertson says God told him storms and possibly a tsunami will hit America's coastline this year.
Storms will hit the coastline! The mystic powers of Pat Robertson are astounding. Surely, this will be the only year that any storms will hit the coastline because Pat declared it.

I like how they added "possibly" a tsunami. Possibly a typhoon, or possibly a cyclone, or possibily he's full of shit.

Self-serving twat.

Religion. It brings out the best in humans, and the worst of humans.

These days, I'd say it's break-even whether it's still a good theory or not.

If Gay Pride parades will wipe out a city.

I want to organize an omni-sexual pride parade in WASHINGTON DC.

At least it's not Portland, Maine. That is too close for my liking. ;)

The Pentagon and CIA are missing out on this. The CIA could smuggle teams of undercover suicide gay activists into hostile cities or coastlines they want to take out. They perform their parade, or whatever other vile infamies that Pat and his fellow experts suggest and et voila God obliges.

Pure genius, Tosh! I think we now know how to defeat the Iraqi insurgency . . . a little shock and awe of the holiest magnitude.
