Don't worry about it Ro. I feel exactly the same way. I can argue for both sides often and am not sure which one is best.

Leoba's right. At least you're taking the time to read, think, and reason with yourself rather that making some quick decision. You're trying really hard to make the right decision and that's admirable. :)

A has more artistic value than either B or C.

I'll drop myself in the "susceptible to arguments" camp, at least most of the time...but I also do hold opinions myself. They come from past experiences and such. I wouldn't say that not having an opinion is a bad thing...it's simply you haven't come up with a way of seeing things that makes you tend towards certain viewpoints. For example, in terms of voting, I know a few people have noticed my viewpoint...and that came from several years of discussing voting in the real world (specifically to 2000 and 2004 U.S. Presidential elections...) and my philosophical training. It's my history that gives me my views. I know there are people on this board who have strong viewpoints about certain things such as the running of the board and it's setup. Maybe I'm wrong, but I imagine Some of those people have real world experience and their views and opinions come from that background.

What Jny said!

I'd say for me it depends on what the decision is to be on. Very often I simply don't know what I want, no matter how often I look at the pros and cons.

With the decisions here, I don't find it too hard to imagine what I'd be comfortable with and what not - the problem is finding the option that comes closest to that among all the different ideas. So I also find myself supporting a lot of different views at the same time.

And, Ro, you may not have noticed, but you tend to come up with some bloody convincing stuff yourself!
I don't think you are only repeating stuff you've found here and there. And contradicting yourself just means you can see both sides of a question.

Or neither. ;)

I'm more worried about being caught unawares- forgetting about why I chose something in favour of another thing, and then when it's too late, being reminded.

In that case I must have been wrong!

I don't think I ever wanted to say what lidless wanted to say!
