I thought I'd start the ball rolling with some good news.

Ron Paul Moves Into the TOP TIER!

MSM and neocons, eat your hearts out!

That's a nice political ad, I suppose.
Group A says Group B is lying, Group B says Group A is lying, and I have no idea who's telling the truth.
But I do know that I will rejoice the day that a third party candidate gets a real shot in this country.

Rep. Paul is the next best thing - he was the LP candidate in 1988.

But as an advertisement ... check out who the website is. These are gamblers setting odds.

Ron Paul has huge online support, but he doesn't have enough people in the real world to pull through. Every poll puts him behind Guiliani, Romney and McCain.

The big question in my mind is - Clinton or Obama?

Meanwhile, among top tier candidates...

Clinton, Edwards discuss excluding rivals from debates

That's disheartening. I think Edwards is a poor candidate to begin with, and I didn't even like Hilary becoming one of my senators. I'm very stuck this presidential race. I don't know who I'd rather see as president. Donald Duck would make a good president, and so would Powdered Toastman, but the real life idiots today are just blegh. I've lost my respect for the pandering to the far right wing Guiliani, I'm not sure Obama can rise above the political hyperbole he claims he is above, and McCain is spineless. I don't know enough about Ron Paul, and Mitt Romney. Supposedly Newt is going to run, and I'd never ever vote for a man who served his first wife divorce papers in a hospital bed after recovering from cancer treatment, as well as admitted to having an affair WHILE crusading against Bill, wasting 40 million dollars in taxpayers money for some bullshit, hypocritical cause. I hear that Bloomberg potentially could be a candidate as late as March '08. For now I've been leaning strongly towards Bloomberg. I don't agree with him all the time, but I like that he's a social liberal and fiscal conservative (in the real sense, not the GW "sense").

As far as my preference goes, I have a bit of a Ron Paul fantasy. Closer to the real world, I don’t mind Al Gore. Among the front-runners, I prefer Obama, both personally and politically.

At the moment, I’m fairly sure that Guiliani will win the GOP nomination (assuming the religious right doesn’t totally spit the dummy). Either Clinton or Obama seems to have a good chance at the Dem one, but I get the feeling Obama might pull through. I imagine Obama would beat Guiliani in the general election.

The Devil Went Down to DC

The Devil went down to DC
He was looking for a soul to steal
He was in a bind
'Cause he was way behind
And he was willin' to make a deal

When he came upon this libertarian
On the campaign trail playin' it hot
And the devil jumped
On a hickory stump
And said "boy let me tell you what

I guess you didn't know it
but I'm a politician too
And if you care to take a dare
I'll make a bet with you

I've seduced libertarians before, boy
So give the devil his due
I'll bet gold currency
Against your soul
'Cause I think I can get you too"

They man said "My name's Ron Paul
And I know you rule Washington.
But I'll take your bet
And you're gonna regret
'Cause I'm the only honest one"

Ron Paul's on the campaign trail
Debating mighty hard.
Hillbama and Rudy McRomney are all
Working the Devil's Card
And if you win you get this shiny
currency made of gold
But if you lose the devil gets your soul.

The devil opened up his campaign chest
And he said "I'll start this show"
And fire flew from his fingertips
As the press began to glow.

Then he pulled a sound bite across the news
And it made a evil hiss
Elder, Dondoero and Boortz joined in
And it sounded something like this

[Instrumental]

When the devil finished
Paul said "Well you're pretty good old son
Just sit right in that chair right there
And let me show you how it's done"

Oh the Media's against you
Run Paul, Run
The devil's really a neocon
Lobbyist in the hallway givin out dough
Will Paul take their money
No child, no

[Instrumental]

The devil bowed his head
Because he knew that he'd been beat
And he laid that solid gold currency
On the ground at Ron Paul's feet

Paul said, "Devil just come on back
If you ever in Washington
I've told you once you neocon
I'm the only honest one"

Oh the Media's against you
Run Paul, Run
The devil's really a neocon
Lobbyist in the hallway givin out dough
Will Paul take their money
No child, no

[Instrumental to end]

So, do you say "Coal - burt" or "Coal - bare"?

Coal - bare... It's French... Though he's 175% American. ;)

Cheney says male Democrats don't have big sticks:

Funny, that's exactly what I think about male Republicans who drive around in giant pickup trucks... :D

Hillary for prez... Ron Paul's a dinosaur: I can only suspect that his popularity with youth in this country is the manifestation of some kind of wishful romanticism... and Obama simply doesn't have Clinton's gravitas and experience.

I think I have been playing World of Warcraft and reading about politics too much. Last night I dreamed I was Dennis Kuchinich and gave a speech where I said "The GOP has become a party of warriors, but we're a party of paladins and its time to confront their bloodlust with our hammer of justice". :damnfunny:

It doesn't totally work since bloodlust is an orcish racial talent rather than a warrior skill (they have blood fury and bloodrage), but I'm still kind of amused to find myself engaging in cross-domain wordplay in my sleep.

I can't imagine Dennis Kucinich involved in any kind of warfare! :LMAO:

I kind of like Ron Paul, actually.

Meh. Hillary already ran the country for 8 years once. I think she's got another 8 left in her. :Wooper:
