Of course they aren't. Different appearances, very different habitats.

Yeti lives in the Himalayas, also known as the Abominable snowman.

Sasquatch lives in some forest in America (or Canada. I'm not sure about this. Actually, I think it's Canada) and is also known as Bigfoot.

Sheesh.

See, I think they're the same thing. Kind of like an Arctic fox vs. a red fox.

Or the same guy with lots of money for airfare and a decent passport.

(Okay, anyone else see MST3K, Boggy Creek? :D)

If they bear fertile offspring when crossbred, then they are the same species...

Where's the poll option for "Different men, same suits"? ;)

I took the stars from my eyes, and then I made a map, And knew that somehow I could find my way back; Then I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too - So I stayed in the darkness with you

I'm gonna have to agree with River and Crucifer! They might have the same ansestoral origins but they are quite different.

Yeti, live in very cold climate (think Empire Strikes Back) so their body chemistry is probably a little different from a Sasquatch that can live in cold climates but perfers the seasonal change and really like to live in suburbia with oh, I don't know a family name Henderson?

Why do you weep?
What are these tears upon your face?
Soon you will see
All of your fears will pass away
Safe in my arms
You're only sleeping

Well that makes perfect sense. Zippers in fridged temps wouldn't be good for zippers so I see why the Yeti chose a lace-up costume....I mean....well...wrestling is fake?

I imagine laces are a bit fiddly for frozen climates

Don't forget yetis also live up high in the Himalaya, and Sasquatch is more of a sea-level type of creature.
