Fritos:

I like to eat them with salsa or you can make Frito pie: layer of Fritos, layer of chilli and then some cheese. Sooooo good.

Nonononono. :D :P Nachos the Americas is a dish, not a single thing. Nachos are made by putting a layer of tortilla chips on a plate, then a layer of refried pinto beans, a layer of taco meat (or diced chicken), then cheese, jalapenos and tomatos or pico de gallo. Then place it all under a hot grill to melt the cheese and serve with guacamole and sour cream on the side.

Ugh, I just want to go home for a few days so I can have lots of lovely TexMex and American/Italian food!!!! :bawl:

I vote we have a Spanish/Texan f00d m00t sometime in the near future.

We can debate the merits of the various forms of nachos while ingesting copious quantities of same.

All in favour?

Aha! That's the first time someone has explained the differences between nachos and "tortilla chips" to me! :D

Eru I searched for Sauza Hornitos in Gib and Spain but only found the Gold and White versions. :( So I am still a tequila virgin.

Mmm, tequila. I am a sucker for cheap tequila shots with lime and salt. :blackeye: They sure will make your night go by fast.

I've never tasted the American kind of donut ever. Just the small traditional Norwegian ones, which are quite different.
My mom makes the Norwegian ones at Easter - soooo gooood. Much better than the American ones, but don't tell any Americans I said it ;)
Hah! :D

But I promise to try the next time I go visiting you crazy Americans. ;)

Tried one today. Of course, it's made over here, but it's still the right kind. Though it may have been poorly made?

'Cause that was absolutely disgusting! Way too sweet and way too fatty, but most of all - well, it tasted the way it smells, and that's not good! Couldn't finish even one bite. :scared:

 :D

I'm sorry, but that just doesn't make any sense. :D

Silly people! You're not supposed to eat them! Didn't you know that they're supposed to be an offensive weapon used in siege warfare?

I'm not surprised you didn't like it. I mean, you wouldn't eat a hand grenade, would you?
