They named dolls after the kids? That's just creepy.

Poor kids.

Ice cream is heaven with a good apple crumble.

I'm having apple and cinnamon pop-tarts brought over from the US by a friend! Whee! :D

*is a tiny bit addicted to apples with cinnamon*

You know Ber, I can make a really good apple crumble :D

Also, when I make French toast, I make a whole huge pot of apples baked in cinnamon with walnuts to put on top.... just sayin

Oh, and the restaurant around the corner has maple and walnut ice cream that they'll sell to us sometimes to have with the french toast and baked apples.......

come to Gibraltar. Come to Gibraltar.

Baked apples:

Remove core.
Fill hole with marshmallows.
Cover with foil.
Preferably, throw into the campfire, and remove with tongs after a few minutes. Second choice: bake in oven.
Let it cool for a few minutes, then eat.

You can probably figure out a way to add some cinnamon to the equation too...

Or.....

Core them and cut out from the core a little bit in a few places as well. Fill the core with a combination of chopped walnuts, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg, put a pat of real butter on the top, put each apple in a rammekin and put the rammekins in a waterbath (pan filled with water), put in the oven and bake.

That's how my mom does it ;)

Grate apple into a batter and fry both sides in butter in a pan. It's like a thick pancake. It is cooked a bit more slowly than a pancake. Serve sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon. Dang it, pop icecream and maple syrup on it too if you wish.
