Laura Ingraham is an asshole

In a strange turn of events, I actually agree with O'Reilly's perception of the Nobel Peace Prize. Ingraham asks what does this prize do for average Americans, but she's asking the wrong question. Might as well as science for proof of god.

I can't believe I'm actually agreeing with O'Reilly on at least one point: Obama getting a peace prize does make the US look pretty good. And Ingraham has completely missed the point.

What is up with you lately, Lurker? I can't recall seeing you post in this much of a derisive and rude manner...you've really ramped it up.

The tides have turned again...nice...now I'm rude,,, the last time I checked I was only rude to nobody but Obama. I don't recall him posting here. Can't you see I'm shedding my good boy image?

What's up with me, the usual, too much paperwork, too little time to update my Facebook. I couldn't even harvest my fruit trees in Farmville and my buddies are stealing my vegetables in Farm Buddy. My cafe sucks nobody is visiting it. I need more neighbors in Farmville to be able to expand would you like to be one?

Of course. Mr Jagland and I have a very special relationship. When he visited my high school a couple of years ago, I was the only one who didn't fall asleep during his speech.

Well, the Nobel Peace prize committee has sounded off on their decision. Agree or disagree, at least we have some insight into what they were thinking. They've also openly admitted that they hadn't even considered how this would play out domestically, saying something to the effect of "we wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole".

No. Of course not. The Nobel is a global thing. But, if you take a look at TED's link, some people in the US have been taking it rather personally (we Americans can be like that :/) and there's also been a feeling that Obama was given the prize to reward us for electing him, or he was given the prize just for not being Bush. Some have even speculated that our ongoing healthcare debate had something to do with it, and that's about as domestic as it gets.

I'd say...

Of course I don't think it had anything to do with the NPP at all, but I can't help but privately think that trying to secure decent healthcare for 50 million people or whatever it is, merits a prize... (And had he been a non-state actor in a poor country, he could quickly have gotten the NPP for it, too.)

Trying to do something grand does not merit a prize. Awarding mediocrity teaches us that we don't need to bother to succeed, just have good intentions. What is that old saying? The path to hell is paved with good intentions.

Oh, I don't know. Seeing the craziness of the American healthcare debate, I think he deserves some kind of bravery medal just for trying. ;)
