I thought we should have a thread for the latest genius offerings from Jon Stewart. This one is on Glen Beck. It is worth watching to see Stewart imitate Beck, his musings, his mannerisms, his tactics... its really priceless.

and this comes from the conservative Breitbart TV site so they must have hated it. Which makes me enjoy it twice as much. ;)

One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs. - John Rogers

Reading the commentary on that site is hilarious. A few people saying "wow, Stewart must have watched a lot of Beck to get his parody correct"... so, Stewart is right? Beck stirs emotions and then couches that in intellectual discourse? It's funny to see the Beckites froth at the keyboard over this parody. It's dead on. They insinuate that to get the parody correct that Stewart must have watched a lot of Beck, and then take victory in that? That's how parody works. You can't satirize something you've never seen. You can only then satirize your inability to satirize it. It's interesting how the Beck-faithful, and Beck himself categorizes victory in defeat or mocking.... "well, he was mocked, but he had a viewer and a fan clearly, so we win!"
