Father ordered to pay protester at funeral
Can you imagine first losing your son, and then being ordered to pay such a large sum of money to that walking turd?
Quote: The father of a marine killed in Iraq in 2006 has been ordered to pay $16,000 to the preacher who organized an anti-gay protest during his son's funeral. On the day of the funeral in Maryland for the 20-year-old young soldier killed in combat, Baptist preacher Fred Phelps organized a demonstration just a few metres away and waved signs that read "Matt is in Hell" and "America is damned." The father of the late soldier, Albert Snyder, filed suit against the preacher. First a court ruled with Snyder, but that finding was thrown out on appeal in September when a court said Phelps was exercising his constitutionally guaranteed freedom of speech. Phelps then asked for court costs and the appeal court agreed.
