Needless to say, that doesn't happen very often. :) The last one was in 1638 or 1378... depending on your source. :suspicious:

Clouds here are forecast to be around 90%. :( That always seems to happen when something astronomically cool happens where I live. I'm definitely going to be taking peeks outside a lot, to see if the clouds happen to part for a bit.

It was too cloudy here, too. I did happen to wake up at 3 am and went out and checked again, and although a lot of moonlight was lighting up the clouds, I couldn't see through them at all. The clouds did have a slight orange cast to them, though, so that was minorly cool.

I saw a little nibble out of the edge, above the scudding clouds, at 10 PM, then went to bed. I've watched a total lunar eclipse before, and it was beautiful.

The moon was predicted to be showing copper-red even here in Australia, but it was too cloudy to see from Melbourne at least.
