Also, I have already seen a history of violenc. Maybe I should start a belated Toronto International film festival thread. (Yes I went just for that one movie and I have some badly taken pics as proof!!)

When I had seen the unfinnished version of the movie, the television theme was not on it. But the end credits were not finished at the time so the theme could be in that. :)

I will attempt to go on Saturday. Big Shindig afterward. I hope it wil be good. We are a little gloomy since a browncoat (browncoated scaper) has recently died, and he had RSVP'd for this upcoming shindig. :(

Saw it again. They added a few tiny things and a few diferent takes to make the plot more clear. I also liked the music. Also, there no sound in space woohoo!!!!!!!

I still haven't seen this. I hope to see it soon. Tonight I watched "Our Mrs. Reynolds" and it was so witty, so twisty, and so adult that I . . . that I ordered the DVD.

My son saw it on Friday afternoon. He's seen all the episodes. I told him that I had read (not here) that people were coming out of it all :Q .

When I picked up my son and his friend and turned around and looked at them behind me in the van, here they were:
  • :Q :Q
And with that I'm leaving until I see it, so as far as I'm concerned, chat away. :)

Yep, that is the reaction that people will have coming ot of the theatre. Maybe the thread with spoilers? I really put up my fav line from the movie I can't until there is a warning.

Hubby and I saw it on 9/30 at 1:40 PM. It is showing at two theatres in town and this one started 5 minutes before the other one. We, also, were

:Q :Q

Hubby grabbed the Serenity, the Official Visual Companion book first, but he's not holding it right now. Hehehe, think I'll grab it so's I can read the script and find out what dialog I missed out on. We also have the novelisation, so that will be next on me reading list. I've had them for almost a month, and we only peeped in the Visual Companion up to where it started to get spoilerish.

Sooo, we should do our bit and see it again next Friday to keep the weekend box office up, right?? ;)

I was going to see it again this weekend, but didnt because...

SPOILER AHEAD

Major spoiler

Don't read further unless you've seen the movie spoiler!!!!

Because it just hurt too much that they killed off Wash! I was crying for at least 15 minutes after we got in the car and headed home. Deep, hard, wracking sobs that hurt my ribs. :bawl: :bawl: :bawl:

They ended it too fast. We had time to get over Shepard Book getting killed, but it had hardly really registered that Wash was really, really dead when the show was over. And as I walked away in shock, I started crying and couldn't stop.

That said, I think it really was done well. The story, acting and special effects were superb... but I can't go see it again right away like I'd planned. I need a little time to get over this first.
