I was REALLY impressed with the "Out of Gas" episode. Starting 3/4 of the way through and flashing back so much was an interesting way of keeping the tension up while giving the back stories on the rest of the crew. All the while I was very worried- wondering what in the world happened to get him into that predicament.

Very good episode. :)

Yuppers, MH, 'OUt of Gas' is considered by the majority to be The Best.

There is ONE comic book store in Big City near me. Hoping to save three shipping charges for the three Serenity comics, which cover the interval between the series and the movie, I found the address and went in. After a long conversation with the clerk...no, not the Firefly DVD, I've got it...no, not the Serenity DVD, it isn't out yet...the Serenity COMIC book, the first one... After several calls to the store on the north side of town, she tells me they only got a few, that's what they do with these items of little interest. And may they put me on a list, they may get more in a month or so. No, i sez, I can get them faster by ordering on line. Which I have just done, so there crummy store. Wonder what my face looked like when she said there was no interest in the subject and would never be. I felt like ROFLMAO, probably looked like it too.

http://www.bigdamnstore.com/

And I ordered my choice of covers, as each issue comes out with three different covers.

Wonder why Amazon doesn't carry things like this :scratch

I find myself thinking of these comics as the storyboard for an episode that was never made. I wish all three had come out at the same time, but only if that were NOW. People, it has been half a century since I bought a comic book. No wonder I felt out of place in that gorram store.

PayPal has paid 258 West Authentic, now I get to check the snail mail daily, it's only a 5 mile drive...one way, that is.

I was talking to a business associate over the phone yesterday about something that had gone wrong, and she gave a disgusted sigh-- and somehow I fully expected her to start cussing in Chinese and she's not at all Oriental.

This 'verse is infiltrating my brain!

:D

My kids are saying "gorram" a lot too, now, and we aren't even done with the episodes yet!

Finally caught the two part pilot. As seemingly TORC's only Buffy/Angel fan, it's odd that I never watched this show on FOX, but, to prepare for the movie I'm gonna catch up with the Sci-Fi Channel run. Great stuff, so far.

I remember when the FOTR trailer debuted during Angel and all of the TORCers were complaining that they'd have to watch it, and I was the only one saying I'd have watched it anyway.

I took the stars from my eyes, and then I made a map, And knew that somehow I could find my way back; Then I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too - So I stayed in the darkness with you

Has anyone seen the new trailer?!? Can hardly wait until Sept 30th and I've only watched three episodes of the series. D'you suppose if Serenity takes off at the box office which it no doubt will that they'll do something fantastic like put it back on the air? Wishful thinking but....stranger things have happened :D

Actually Fox owns the rights to the concept of Firefly as a TV show, so they can't have it as a TV show anytime soon. Stupid frelling FOX!!!

"Which wide release in September are you looking forward to the most? "
Serenity 59.8%
Tim Burton's Corpse Bride 12.1%
Transporter 2 9.5%
The Exorcism of Emily Rose 3.5%
A History of Violence 2.9%
Flightplan 2.5%
Lord of War 2.1%

Guess which one I voted for. The poll is at the bottom right of the page.

:help: Vote for Serenity. Vote often. :help:

That's a tough poll. Corpse Bride is on Marty's list, too. To whom do I have greater loyalty, Burton or Whedon...?

I didn't like the first two comic books very well. The characterizations seemed off.

I'm getting another copy of the season. I'm giving our copy to my daughter so she can show all her new college friends and get them hooked in time for the movie. :)

do you think they will use the theme song for Serenity rather than a musical introduction? (as in film score etc)

only 3 days to go!! :Wooper:
