Actually, I am not the autograph type. I usually go for pictures, which is why I know Anthony Simcoe is cuddly. :D If I had the time I would fish out the CD with the pic but the earliest I can do anything is Friday.

I just finished Season 3. Oh - my - goodness. It was a brilliant season, and to realize that the fourth one is the last... Well - it pre-maturely brought a tear into my eye. The serie is too good for it's own sake - I want it to continue for a dozen seasons still.

I mean - I even tributed my avatar for the cause. Scorpius is among the greatest screen-villains of all time, hands down.

Season 4 - and the style has been revamped to potency 10!

I *love* the widescreen look - the budget was seemingly bigger this time around.

Fortunately there are 22 episodes to go still...

I looked up the times on TVGuide. Happily, my tiny University cable service IS getting Farscape! I've been curious about it ever since Wilma told me about it.

Anywho, I have a question. It says which episodes are playing, but I'm guessing they're not from the first season, let alone the beginning of the series. Is it okay to start watching from the middle or should I wait till I get back to Boston and borrow it from the library?

Well, I see it comes on in about 15 minutes. I suppose I can give it a try. Though who knows at what point in the series I'll be watching. That's a drawback.

edit: It's the premiere. Now isn't that lucky? ;)

Okay, so I was all set to watch it tonight. I ate really fast, ran back to my dorm . . . only to find that the fire alarm had gone off and there were two fire engines and three ambulances outside. No one was hurt, though, and I don't think there was actually a fire. Anywho, I missed the first 20 minutes of Farscape and ended up being really, really confused for most the show. It definitely didn't help that this episode was from the middle of Season 2.

But! Next Saturday at 11 they're showing Ep. 2 of Season 1, so I'll try again then and hope no one burns popcorn again. I liked what I saw, so I'm hoping that I'll understand it better next week.

Yeah, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I'm not sure. The story line is an interesting one. But, some of the acting is a bit cheesy and the aliens are pretty fake looking. I've been spoiled by big budgets. :P I'll probably tune in again next week though. :)

Eru, the acting improves fast and the aliens grow on you—at least that was my experience. I was not impressed with all of Season 1 by any means. But the characters and relationships develop fast toward the end of the season, and the next three seasons never let up.

Prim is right. After a while you get used to the acting. It's very uh manic. ;) Actually it became an aspect of the show I really liked. one of the producers of the show had said he wanted it to be very very emotional, rather then emotionally distant as Star Trek is.

Hmm the end of season 3 the budget got big. ;)

I now get 'irreversibly contaminated'. ;)

I hope you and Wilma are right Prim. :)

I hope so, too! :)

I was actually blindsided by Ben Browder as John Crichton. At first he seems like such a goof, almost a clown, wisecrack after wisecrack, but he can also break your heart. Very few actors have ever made me laugh while I was crying, but he is one.

Of course, credit is due to the writing as well.

*evil giggle*

I think Klonkku said it best when he said:

That is basically how I feel abouit the acting on the show. I will say there are a lot of guest actors and sometimes they miss the mark, but I appreciate the effort nonetheless. :)

I thought I would give this a bump. I just wanted to ask what anyone thought of the recent episodes.

Also, I wanted to ask any newbies if they would be interested in fan made podcasts? Some fans I know are considering putting one together.
