The dang hike keeps getting bumped back a week at a time, but the jobs nad weather looks clear for the week of June 25-30, so it should be a go!

If all goes according to plan I'm heading out this coming Wed onto the appalachian trail for the rest of the summer. :) ...the general plan is to start from Hot Springs, NC and start north and go until september or so.

As much as I'd love to hike up a couple of mountains ( sounds so easy saying that :P ) Alas I can't for we have no mountains in the low countries! :rage: extremely jealous of all of you who do. Hences why I regularly go to England to get myself a hill fix ;)

Highlands of Scotland were fabulous, Snowdon in Wales ( I was tempted to hike up the summit but with bad weather announcements took the train up) is my favorite for now and (not sure if I can call them mountains) the Chilterns, then there are the ring of Dingle and Kerry in Ireland. These may not even be mountains but they are more mountain to me than what I get to see at home.

Drove through the Rockies which isn't the same thing but still  I got to see mountains, Gandalf! Mountains!

If that New Zealand moot ever gets organised count me in! :D

Thanks, Snowdog. :blackeye: Good to see ya around.

I just got back today from Mt. LeConte today, in the Smokies. Stayed the night a group of forestry buddies from school. 6500ft....(or, since I'm in chemistry right now :P : 2009.5 meters) Highest I've ever been..(I'm not bragging here, believe me. :P )

But it was beautiful and treacherously icy on the trail. I feel good. :)
