This is one of a short list of films I am lookign forward to! I totally agree that I would hate to see the series die at three movies. There are a lot more stories that can be told.

If Mary Jane dies on the one hand that would be totally contrary to the books. On the other hand I am not really that fond of the actress doing MJ.

I would love to see Black cat. But I'm not sure she could be worked in this story really well unless it is more of a cameo. But then maybe I'll be wrong. :)

I like Dunst as well. In Spiderman however I much prefer the Black Cat storyline!

Wee! :D Tickets for the midnight world premiere in my hand! It'll be just like the old days: first Spider-man 1 and 2 on the evening of May 3rd, and then Spider-man 3 three minutes after midnight on the 4th. In the world's biggest THX cinema!

Just like the old days... Only a different set of movies, of course. :blackeye:

I don't listen to critics in general...

And the more "pop culture" a movie is, the less I listen to them...

And the more it's aimed at action fans, kids, and families... I listen to them even less than that!

I think everyone that likes Spider-man (not necessarily everyone that's a raving Spider-man lunatic...) will like the movie :)

I just hope they come to my store afterwards...

Except, hal, that critics loved the first 2. The general consensus seems to be "good not great". We'll see....

and I didn't listen to them then either :P

I like the first one a lot, but think it's rather boring on repeated viewings, with a few scenes being the exception.

I don't think it's possible to give the second one a bad review, although a lot of hard-core fans had some issues.

I've always been worried this one woudl get bad reviews, as it sounds like they're trying to do too much (which is what the above reviews seem to complain about). However, I'm sure that people familiar with Spider-Man history will have no trouble following all of it.

And most people, won't care about following it, as they'll get to see a lot of cool stuff.

The thing that will bug me is all the crying... if it's as bad as some of them say. This I blame on Superman, and the general increase in "sensativity" in super-heroes over the last 15 years.

I don't read reviews. They always end up spoiling something...
