Anybody looking forward to this? It reminds me a lot of Sin City, which was IMO a entertaining-yet-forgettable exercise in immensely gorgeous style. Except this has lots of shirtless muscular men. pwnd

Here's a bunch of stills:

I know my husband is really looking forward to it. I'll probably get dragged along as well. :P If I hear good reviews about it I'll happily go, but if I hear a lot of bad reviews I'll be dreading it.

I was talking about this in passing with Borry the other day. The more I see the trailer, the more certain I am that it could very well be the worst film ever. Yet I can't wait to see it. Funny how that happens. It looks amazing in terms of effects, sets, costumes, and makeup, but whoa nelly that is hammy acting. At least on account of Gerard Butler, who sounds more and more Shcottish with each film.

But as you say, there is gorgeous men in little clothes, so there will be things to enjoy anyway. It's certainly what I most remember about TROY. Besides, I first heard about this film after discovering that Gerry, David Wenham, and Rodrigo Santoro were doing a movie together. Following an explosion of hormone-fueled fantasies, I looked up the trailer, and of all things to completely sell me on the film, it was that shot near the end of the rhinoceros charging towards the camera. Fuck yeah, baby. I only went to see GLADIATOR for the damn tigers, and now after seeing two different trailers for 300, I not only get to see kick-ass rhinos, but there's elephants too.

Again, I think it will be horrible, but amazing to look at. We'll see what happens. :D There is a growing list of films I love the trailers for but hate the actual product, so even if this one turns out poorly, we'll always have the rhino...

I don't need to ask if there's a market for David Wenham-shaped dildos out there. I've been in Fandom before.

I saw this pic of Gerald Butler a couple years ago:

[ img ]

I think that pic is suuuuuuuuper hot, but none of the other pics of him I've seen have ever been all that interesting to me. He's nice but not great. A pity for me that he's the one to lead in an all-muscular-shirtless-men extravaganza like this looks. Man, this is just the kind of thing I've been waiting years for Russell Crowe to do........

That is unfortunate, yov. I think he's gorgeous and I have soooooooo many pics of him around. Most of the hits to my website come from people stealing the photos I've put up, actually.

I want to see it very much.

But will have to take a piece of paper to cover the shirtless men so I don't get in big trouble. :P (kidding...............)

Saw the first trailer for it over Thanksgiving Break. Have been eagerly waiting for it since then.

It's actually a documentary on how they widdled down the LOTR endings to just sixty-five.
