:LMAO: Okay, so I'm a heathen, and I've never watched Star Wars in its entirety. But with this toothache, tv is a good anaesthetic. Since it's the anniversary, they've been running episodes 5-7 every night this weekend, and my sister would not let me watch anything else. Figures.

So I'm sitting here as Return of the Jedi begins, and the droids arrive at Jabba's front door.

C3PO knocks, and the sentinel asks what he wants. To which that golden boy replies, as I have quoted in the title of this thread: "Chi toota mishka Jabba du Hutt?"

And I just about die laughing, because that's Polish for 'Does Jabba the Hutt live here?"

:damnfunny: :damnfunny: :damnfunny: :damnfunny:

I'm more easily amused than the dwarf, sometimes. :LMAO:

Chris scored a really cheap Greedo at an antique fair a couple of years ago. It was mispriced... :P

Flew away, I imagine.

One of the things I learned over the weekend (the news was full of Star Wars references) was that we actually have an Obi-Wan Kenobi street in Poland.

Wikipedia entry

They asked some of the people from the village if they knew where the name came from. Old ladies in scarves and farmers in wellington boots...
"Uh...I guess it's after someone famous, but I don't know who he was."

Now THAT is even funnier than finding out Huttese is (partly) Polish :LMAO:

Sold when we had a garage sale in 1986 before we moved, at my parents suggestion. Made sense at the time to my 10 year old mind since I was more obsessed with Transformers then and the concept of my toys being valuable was completely foreign to me.

Did u ever wear out the little symbol on the toys? (you know it was a black square and when u rubbed it it turned into a decepticon or autobot symbol) I think I wore them all out on mine after a few weeks.

What do u think of the upcoming movie? I started a thread here and at TORC a while back but got an average of .5 responses between them.

hehe cool. Im not a big fan of Michael Bay but the trailers look cool so far.

Ok so Im watching this thing on the History channel about Star Wars and how it links into culture and mythology and what not. ANd heres Stephen Colbert talking about it, then PJ and Dan Rather and Tom Brokaw and some college professors and then....

Nancy Pelosi :Q :Q

then Newt Gingrich :Q :Q

which just seems really odd to me
