Ranger note--I've split this from Nin's thread "I'm Down" in Talk. Moving it to Made in Dale but leaving a shadow in Turf so that it can be easily found by those who want it.

W00t Zelda fanatics!! :D I have Ocarina of Time downloaded onto our Nintendo Wii and am currently playing it for the second time since I got home from school a month ago. I'm stuck in the Water Temple right now, all I need is one freaking key and I have no idea where it is. :rage: I'm playing Twilight Princess as well since we have that too, but I'm having trouble getting used to the Wii controller. :P I want to find a used copy of Windwaker somewhere so I can play that one too, I haven't for a long time!

www.gamefaqs.com

That's the site I use to find game walkthroughs. I use the Zelda ones fairly often as I have no patience for puzzling things out. :P

Ocarina of Time was the first Zelda I played...when I was first over in England visiting Iavas. I can't remember how far I got...not all that far. I never really got the whole thing then. Now I do and I'm thinking I want to get OoT for gamecube.

Wii is so tempting but that's another couple hundred dollars I don't need to spend. I'm also afraid that different controller would be way hard.

We haven't got a Wii.

But I've finished Ocarina, Mask, Awakening, 1, 2 and Oracles (ages and seasons)

Did you know that Princess was actually originally for gamecube. They adapted it for Wii for publicity.

Hey, thanks Eru! :D I used one of the walkthroughs and found the key. I've got the longshot, now, score!

The Water Temple always takes me awhile. I can do each of the others in one sitting, but I get frustrated with the Water Temple. My favorite is Spirit, and Forest. The Spirit Temple boss is so fun. :LMAO:

Yes I knew that. ;) I do enjoy it on the Wii, just because it is fun to actually "cast" the remote at the screen to go fishing, and such. And the Wii remote is a lot easier on the thumbs. :P I just wish it had more games--or that I still had some of the old GameCube games I loved so I could play them on the Wii.

Well, there's always the Wii Shopping Channel. They have a bunch of Gamecube games on there for about $10 a game I think. I don't have a Gamecube controller though.

Hmmm, maybe we should move the Zelda talk into a new thread? :P

I remember not liking the water temple in TP...the last bit (water maze type thing) and the boss weren't nice. I had to get Iavas to beat the boss as I was horrible at swimming.

I've actually found the Wind Waker Bosses to be more difficult than TP's. And I seem to remember finding OoT harder in general. Maybe that's because I never really got used to playing (I've normally only played PC games).

I've heard that fishing is hard on the Wii.

And can't you download plenty of older games?

I guess the Zelda talk probably should be split. :P I'll go ahead and do that--move it into the proper forum--but I'll leave a shadow in Turf so no one will wonder where it went.

I probably will look to download some of the older games that I've wanted. :) But you can use the GameCube discs on the Wii as well, so I'm wondering if maybe I can find the actual games somewhere for cheaper. I'll look around.

OoT is the hardest game, I think, but it's definitely the one I enjoy the most!

Anyone else been with Zelda right from its first ever incarnation on the NES?

The series has consistently produced a magical new experience in gaming for me:

Zelda 1/2 on the NES
Zelda 4 on the SNES
OoT on N64

Twilight Princess is probably as good as OoT, but was not the same astonishing leap forward, so OoT had a bigger impact.

That's why you get Epona as soon as you become an adult, duh. :P

Iavas and I have been playing OoT. It's a hard game, dude! TP was much more bearable for me. OoT's dungeons are quite hard and take lots of puzzling things out...which I don't enjoy so Iavas has been doing the dungeons for the most part and I do the rest. :P

Riding Epona is tricky as well.

I got majorly spoiled playing TP first.

Just wait 'til you get to the water temple, Eru.

It's annoying.

Hooray for Zelda games! I fell in love with Ocarina of Time but when Majoras Mask came out I was largely disappointed and didn't stick with it very long. The stupid two hour window thing threw me off too much I didn't understand what I was doing!

I have Twilight Princess for both Gamecube and Wii and have started playing it on the Wii a little bit. My intentions were to play it after my little brother went home but since he's decided to live with me that isn't an option. So I haven't played it hardly at all :(

Question, when playing Gamecube games on the Wii do you have to use the Gamecube controller? If so does it plug in the back?! So many games not enough time!!!!

Oh and Zelda games for the hand held systems are really awesome too!

TM, you can use an old GC controller on the wii, by plugging it in at the top, but there's new white wireless versions available also.
