Are Eru and I the only ones who've seen the new movie?

I thought it was great, the best of the movies so far. Infact I think they were able to make it more compelling than the book. I thought this might be the case while reading the book - that it could be trimmed down into a great movie.

Favorite scene - the montage of Harry training DA. Great music!

Errr, I'd wish to see it asap, but I'm afraid it will take a little bit more until it's released in Romania. I've got the impression that this will happen sometime during next week, in the biggest towns, so in order to see it in my hometown I'll have to wait even more, sadly enough.

My oldest son has seen it and he says that it is great. I would love to, but when I have the time, I don't have any money and when I have money, I don't have any time.

Oh yeah...

But they're all in response to what other people have said, so you'd get it out of context...

In short, I thought it was fantastic, except that there wasn't enough Tonks or Snape.

Or Lupin.

Did they ever actually call her "Tonks"?

Mad eye called her Nymphadora once, and her hair went red and she said, firmly, "Don't you ever call me Nymphadora! It's Tonks!"

They call her Tonks the rest of the time.

Must check on imdb who's the actress, 'cause if they ruined (again) one of my favourite characters, I'll become a HP-kamikaze instead of a squeeky fan!

I've never seen any of the movies or read the books.

However, now that the last book is about to come out, I'll read them soon probably. :Wooper:

Rather someone who never really has gotten into "popular" series and was slightly discouraged from reading them by almost every adult in my life.

The fact that it was still coming out was a big factor in me deciding to wait to read it. I can't stand waiting for books to come out.

Then nows the time to start. Surely even a voarcious reader would have difficulty getting through 6 books in the next week.

Very true Alatar, but I don't have a way to get a hold of the books.

Lack of money and a local bookstore is a big problem. I've looked at the local library and the books are always checked out.

At our library?

:damnfunny:

Sorry, that was amusing.

Our library once sent Mom an overdue notice for a book she checked out (and returned) in 2001. The notice was sent in 2006. :Q

Oh hey - a thread for the Harry Potter movie. Who would have thought?

And after I went on about it in another thread :D

I just saw it today - for once, they exceeded the book.

Am I the only one who saw it in Imax?

I actually enjoyed reading Order of the Phoenix book, so the film should be great, I'll just wait till the screaming hoards have left the auditorium and it slips down the billing. (Just read a load of reviews who all seemed to have plagerised off each other and said that the OotP book is too political.)

I guess I'm in no rush to see it. I'd rather see the new Transformers movie! W00t!

I dunno about getting the books from the library, I just filched my brother's copies when he wasn't looking and read them while he was out of the house. I don't think Rowling needs any more money from me...;) Wow what a lucky woman though.
