I've cried a thousand oceans, and I would cry a thousand more if that's what it takes to sail you home.

Was that supposed to be for the game or the movie?

Oh yeah, I figured you meant the movie, yov, but the trailer linked to was on a game site and had scenes I wasn't familiar with. I only just saw a banner ad for the game today, so I wasn't sure if that's what Alatar was talking about.

Saw it. I've never been a big fan of films in 3D. The acting sure didn't blow me away and this version of the film managed to make the Beowulf plot look lame.

Angelina Jolie naked in 3D has 2 thumbs up though...

Overall- 6/10

Well I thoroughly enjoyed it! The animation is a bit hit and miss. When its good its amazing, but some scenes, particularly with Hrothgars wife suffer from "dead eyes" and plastic skin. It's certainly not suitable for kids though. Very graphic violence and sexual overtones.

Voice work was excellent though and, as I said, some of the animation was truly excellent. This style of animation is certainly starting to hit its potential if not yet consistently so. I'd give it a B+. Far better than 300 and infinitely better than the lame Gerard Butler version.

I saw it and some of the animation was pretty cool, I don't know I think live action would have been better.

I guess I am going to pull the purist out and say why can't anyone stick to the poem? Oh well.

Speaking of 300, I thought the dragon 'kid' looked like the Persian King when he was in human form.

That's probably almost exactly what the bards said when the poet first wrote it down. :D
