Oui! Si! :D
Have you heard anything by his old band, Mano Negra?

I took the stars from my eyes, and then I made a map, And knew that somehow I could find my way back; Then I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too - So I stayed in the darkness with you

Why do you weep?
What are these tears upon your face?
Soon you will see
All of your fears will pass away
Safe in my arms
You're only sleeping

No, not a bit, Ber! I heard 'Me Gustas Tu' when I was travelling in Costa Rica last year, and I totally fell in love with it. I just bought the album 'Proxima Estacion Esperanza'. How good is it?!? :D

"Que horas son, mi corazon?"
"Me Gustas Tu" is one of my favourite Manu Chao songs, and "Proxima Estacion Esperanza" is a great album - it's also the voiceover on the Madrid metro that you hear in one track; Esperanza, besides meaning "Hope", is a Madrid metro station. :D

I bought his last CD when I was in France last month. I've only listened to it a couple of times, but it's very similar.

TheMary - Manu Chao is a Frenchman of Spanish descent who used to be in a band called Mano Negra (check out their song "Mala Vida"). I don't know how to describe their (or his) style - multicultural pop? Mano Negra were a bit more punk.

*Sw00ns* for all the mentioned songs (except hasnt heard Esperanza)... loves it! Manu Chau is one of the staples in my crazy many-places and languages music repertoire. Huge world music fan.

Also love the "je ne t'aime plus / bongo bong" song :P
